Contd from Part 1 ” Top 20 English Songs”. Thanks for taking some time out to read my review! And sorry for the wrong head
|) My heart will go on: (Celiene Dion)
Love Celina Dion for her voice & this proved why people believe that Celiene is one of the best female singer in the music industry at present. “My Heart will…” is a great soundtrack with some very touching music. Sometimes when I am lonely, and the world just doesn't seem right, I just hear this song & needless to say, it surely makes me feel good.
Lyrics: “Every night in my dreams/I see you, I feel you/That is how I know you go on/Far across the distance/And spaces between us/You have come to show you go on”
!) Fields of Gold: (Sting)
I guess this was the song, which launched Sting into the big league. A true masterpiece in itself, this song has lot to offer us in our bad times. A great song sung by one of the best singer of our time …Mr. Stinger.
Lyrics: You'll remember me when the west wind moves/Upon the fields of barley/You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky /As we walk in fields of gold…
!@)Words: (BoyZone)
I still enjoy hearing this song as I feel it’s the best proposal song. If you want to impress your girl friend, just send in the lyrics of this song & you will surely succeed….But don’t blame me if you don’t succeed in your mission.
Lyrics: smile an ever lasting smile/a smile can bring you near to me/don't ever let me find you gone/'cause that would bring a tear to me/this world has lost its glory/let's start a brand new story/now my love/you think that I don't even mean/a single word I say….
!#) That’s why: ( Michael Learns to Rock)
This band will always remain my favorite no matter what. “That’s why” is not a love song but it’s a song for the people who have lost their heart & then never found another love.
Lyrics: “Baby won´t you tell me why there is sadness in your eyes/I don´t wanna say goodbye to you/Love is one big illusion I should try to forget/but there is something left in my head….”
!$) Angels: (Robbie Williams)
I first heard this song while traveling from Manchester to Mumbai in 1997. Thanks to Singapore Airlines I came across this beautiful song, which has loads of emotions & must add that I became a big Robbie Williams fan after hearing this wonderful number by him.
Lyrics:“I sit and wait does an angel contemplate my fate and do they know the places where we go/when we're grey and old'cos I have been told/that salvation lets their wings unfold/so when i'm lying in my bed/thoughts running through my head/and I feel the love is dead/i'm loving angels instead….”
!%) Candle in the wind: (Elton John)
Sir Elton John sang this song in memory of Princess Diana & Marolyn Monroe. It’s a very emotional song & Sir Elton has played Piano with great trouble(Since his eyes were moist)
Lyrics: “Goodbye England's Rose/May you ever grow in our hearts/You were the grace that placed itself/Where lives were torn apart/You called out to our country….”
!^)For the first time: (Kenny Loggins)
To say that this song is only mind-blowing is to say that Everest is just a bit tall. Frankly speaking, I never heard anything from Kenny Loggins but after hearing this beautiful song I can assume him to be an extraordinary singer with great voice.
Lyrics: Are those your eyes, is that your smile/I've been lookin at you forever/But I never saw you before/Are these your hands holdin' mine/Now I wonder how I could of been so blind/For the first time I am looking in your eyes/For the first time I'm seein' who you are.
My other favorites are:
!&)Truly Madly Deeply: (Savage Garden)…
!)When I dream of you:(Tommy Page)…
!+) Careless Whispers: (George Michael/Wham)….
!|)(I Just) Died in your arms tonight: (Cutting Crew)…
Thanx for the support!
