I'll tell some of my favorite
I always have to start off with.
1- O Duniya Ke Rakhwale
what an unbelievable song/bhajan in bAIJU Bawra, music Naushad, I have no words to describe it, so all the great words go to this song, lyrics= so HEAVENLY- shakeel
the range of rafi ji, mannnnnnnn you gotta be kidding me.the story of how he bled from throat, goign to soo high pitch in such amazing control, too good!
2- Choo Lene Do Naazuk Honton Ko
This is my fav. Ravi ji's composition for Rafi ji, I think
nice intoxicating song, esp. at end when raj kumar sings, to meena kumari, movie Kajal
3 - Jaan-E-Bahaar Husn Ters Bemisaal Hai
Another Ravi composition, rafi sahab loved this song instantly after they both made it, ravi said he could have made 10 dif. tunes to this, but kept this, so high pitch, sounding more and more gorgeous as rafi sang it. movie= pyar kiya to darna kya on Shammi(i think)
4 - Jab bhi yeh dil udaas hota hai with Sharda
beatiful song, mostyl dominated by rafi, sharda had only title song lines to sing, very romantic, somewhat fast paced too, background song in movie Seema, S-J song
5- Toote Huye Khawabon Ne - deeply sad song too, on dilip kumar, music of salil C., another perfect high pitch song that'll touch your heart so badly, will make you wanna sing and CRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY:(
movie= Madhumati!
6- Khoya Khoya Chand - on Dev Anand, Kala Bazaar movie, SD burman
exceptional fun and romantic song by SD, sung perfectly by Rafi, my fav. dev anand song
7 - Tu mere saamne hain, teri zulfein hain khuli
suhagan movie, music of Madan Mohan
I think one of the most sweeeeeeetest songs ever made
agar meri gf hoti to main usko yeh gaana sunata har roz.hmm, too beautiful
8 - Thaheriye hOsh Mein Aa Loon, to chale jaayiyega
with Suman
my fav. duet composed by khaiyaam ji, movie mohabbat isko kehte hain, shashi kapoor and nanda, too cute song
very nice and sweet words by majrooh, very cute
9 - raha gardishon mein har dum, mere ishq ka sitaara
such a sad song and one of the best on manoj kumar, even though there are not many manoj kumar rafi songs, he did not want that I guess, do badan movie, music - ravi
beginning music just makes you wanna have teary eyes, it's so heart warming and heart touchin and tear educing:(
10 - Aap ne yaad dilaaya to mujhe yaad aaya - with Lata ji
I love this ghazal/song, very nice composition by.roshan
movie= ummm.aarti, aapne yaad dilaaya to mujhe yaad aaya, ke mere dil pe padha tha, koyi gham ka saaya
so much versatility in rafi sahab ji! makes it sound so easy, lyrics - majrooh
11 - Maine poocha chand se - rd burman, movie abdullah
what a romantic, and sweetest song, I think 1980
rafi sounded so good even in that age, I am amazed when I hear this, so pretty eh!
12 - udhe jab jab zulfein teri - music op nayyar
with asha bhosle, on dilip and vyjaintimala
punjabi flavor songggg, so cute song, lines repeated like 4 times, still sounds the same, like all these old songs
sada bahaar gaane!, naya daur movie, sahir lyrics
13 - Pukarta chala hoon main, op nayyar, on biswajeet
mere sanam movie
another sweet sweet song composed by op for rafi ji
rafi ji breezes through it, hell of a sugary sweet song
ok rest 7 i'll just mention, I don't think i'll have enough space
14 - Suhani raat dhal chuki, very old song, rafi ji's fav song, suresh - singing for his gal, where is she, he looks so sad, bechara, dulari movie, naushad music
15 - ek haseen shaam ko, dil mera kho gaya
madan mohan composition, dharmendra in dulhan ek raat ki

on dev anand, another very sad song, sung so perfectly by rafi ji, bombai ka babu movie
18 - yaar chulbula hai, haseena dil rubaan
I am in love with this song, rafi and asha, one of the cutest songs ever, fun fun song, dil deke dekho, usha khanna music
19 - yeh mahalon yeh takhto yeh taajo ki duniya
wow wow wow and wowwwwwwww, so intense and surreal song, and philosphical type? um ok, it's the best
on guru dutt, music - sd burman, PYAASA
20 - yeh aansoo mere dil ki zubaan hainnnnnn
I just love this song so much, should be on rajendra kumari, humrahi movie.music of S-J I believe, sad but a romantic way song.
