YEHAAWWWW! NOW THIS IS A TOPIC TO WRITE ON! Sorry guys just excited:). I have only recently started writing reviews on Mouthshut, and I guess this is one topic that I definitely am not going to miss out on, heheheh. So whether you guys like it or not, my list is going to populate this site.

For the sake of a tiny insight into my life, I play the guitar and what was going towards a band ended up in disarray as I ended up flying away from home:(. But I ended up with two guitarists for roommates and a couple of bass players for neighbors, so things are going uphill as far as my playing is concerned:). Some of my choices may not include the contemporary maestros of sound that usually pop on a music lover’s list, so I hope you forgive me for that. But what the heck, to each is own!

Enough with the crap talk I guess, lets get on with the list:)(Salivating). And oh yeah - I don’t have the heart to place them in any particular order - so I'll be proceeding with names as they come to mind.

1.METALLICA: Ok, am listening to them as I write, hence they appear first.  Robert Trujillo's inclusion into the band threw their fan base off guard as far as their music is concerned, but such things are routine with Metallica anyway. James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich come up with great lyrics, and Hammet's leads are astounding to say the least. It’s a shame about James Newstead, but the band deserved it, they didn't treat him right. I saw them live in concert last year at the Boston Fleet center, a dream come true! Two thumbs way up!

Personal Favs:Unforgiven II, Bleeding me, Nothing Else Matters, Fade to Black, One, Enter Sandman, Better than you, Hero of the Day, The house that Jack built…

2.PEARL JAM:Now, what a band! Still going strong. Deep stuff this, no doubt. Eddie Vedder's singing style has inspired a number of bands, out of which some of them might appear on this list:). Their songs have all the emotions one would associate with rock music – love, pain, anger…

Personal Favs:Alive, Nothing Man, Jeremy, Last Kiss.

3. LIVE: Ed Kowalczyk is easily one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. You can actually feel their songs, close your eyes and visualize the https://lyrics. An amazing blend of vocals and instruments. They started off at about the same time as Pearl Jam and have around eight albums to their credit. Visit https://friendsoflive.com for more details.

Personal Favs: The Dolphins Cry, Lightning Crashes, Run to the Water, Where Fishes go, Dance with you, The Beauty of Gray, Selling the Drama…

4. LED ZEPPELIN:Stairway to heaven is one of the greatest tracks of all time. Each member of the band(notably Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, John Bonham) was definitely the best in his league(guitar, vocals, bassist, drums - respectively), unrivalled and probably will never be equaled!

Personal Favs: Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, Kashmir, Moby Dick, Tangerine, The Song remains the same, Whole lotta love, .

5. IRON MAIDEN: Metal started with Iron Maiden for me. One of the oldest surviving metal bands(although the original guys except Steve Harris have left), their numbers are characterized primarily by speed. They are best enjoyed when one’s looking for a surge of adrenalin and can pretty much keep you going for the rest of the day. Although their name is inspired from a medieval torture device, they’re a treat to hear, hehe.

Personal Favs: Comos Estas Amigo, Fear of the Dark, The Clairvoyant, Bring your daughter to the Slayer, Weekend Warrior, Blood Brothers …

6. PINK FLOYD: Emperors of the Psychedelic style. Missing out on seeing Roger Waters live in concert is one of the greatest regrets of my life! There is not a single track that is not a masterpiece in its own right. Their albums are literally stories that set the atmosphere resonating. Perfect to listen to when one is slightly high;) – not promoting anything here, hehe. Their movie – The Wall is a must see.

Personal Favs: Comfortably Numb, Learning to Fly, Shine on you crazy diamond, Vera, Another Brick in the Wall 2, Wish you were here, One Slip, Coming back to life, Lost for words…

7. TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS: Classic rock for the average guy! With lyrics that will leave you smiling and clean guitar play, this is one band that has stuck to their kind of music and is still going strong. Tom Petty, with his in you face lyrics is way up there. He became a member of the Traveling Wilburys, in 1988, which also featured Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and Jeff Lynne. Such great company is hard to find!

Personal Favs: Free Fallin’, Learning to Fly, Into the Great Wide Open, Running down a dream, Wildflowers, Mary Jane’s last dance, The Last DJ, Jammin’ me, Angel Dream, …

8. CREED: Mark Tremonti has some of the best opening leads I’ve heard in a long time. Scott Stapp’s lyrics tend to sound somewhat like Gospel Rock, but I love them nonetheless. His vocals are reminiscent of Eddie Vedder, but he can definitely hold his own. Their albums had some really great tracks; it’s a pity Stapp went his own way. The rest of Creed is now Alter Bridge with Scott’s position taken by Myles Kennedy of the Mayfield Four. A pity, Creed showed some real promise.

Personal Favs:One Last Breath, My Own Prison, Weathered, One, Faceless Man.

9. GUNS N ROSES: Who hasn’t heard of, or for that matter, not listened to this band. Their tracks have literally turned into anthems for rock fans worldwide. Everything that Axl said or did was FrontPage news. His open challenge to the Motley Crue frontman is one fight people have been waiting for to happen. Slash’s guitar sequence in the November Rain video is one of the coolest I have ever seen. Now this is one band nearly everyone would give an arm and a limb for to reunite. Also, listen to Slash’s performance with Michael Jackson – Give in to me. Anyways, Slash is now part of the band – Velvet Revolver - promising. Let’s see what Axl Rose has up his sleeve. Personal Favs: Patience, You could be mine, Civil War, November Rain, Sweet child of mine, Patience, Rocket Queen…

10. DAVE MATTHEWS BAND: Talent bank this band! Very original sound – they have again inspired a lot of upcoming artistes. I am running out of words to describe everyone’s music:(. Great blend of violins and guitar!

Personal Favs: Crash into me, Grace is gone, Rapunzel, The Space Between …
