I just seen this category while searching the music listings to see what I wanted to write about and this looked like a challenge to me to mix all kinds of songs together. It should work for me as I like many kinds of music, so here goes.

Gospel or spiritual music is one that I like to listen to and'One day at a Time' by Christy Lane is the first one that comes to mind. This is the one I listen to most often and sing along to. Basically it is saying to not think about tomorrow but to take today for what it is and every day as the title says one day at a time.

There are many hymns that I enjoy another one being'In the Garden' This is one I used to sing with my mom in church many years ago so has special meaning and I sang it at her funeral also. It goes I come to the Garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses, and the voice I hear, falling on my ear, the son of God discloses. And he walks with me and he talks with me, and he tells me I am his own and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known. I just find this very inspirational.

I am very fond of older rock and roll, from the 50's and 60's also as this was my growing up period and there are hundreds that I can think of. For dancing and romantic times the songs of Bobby Vinton come to mind especially Blue Velvet. It was a big hit when I was a teen and one that everyone danced to

. There were the tear jerker songs that made you cry or gave you chills one such song that comes to mind is Ebony eyes by the Everly Brothers. His sweetheart was to meet him to be married and her plane crashed on the way.

I also was a big fan of the Beatles and it is hard to pick just one of theirs but who can forget she loves you, yah, yah, yah. My mom used to think their songs a bit strange but then some from her day would have been strange to me also.Love me Do was another favorite.

I am a big country music fan especially much of the early country. People like Hank Snow with I don't hurt anymore, Hank Williams with your Cheating heart, Hank Thompson with Squaws along the Yukon. Maybe I had a thing for singers named Hank, there were alot of them.

The great Kitty Wells who I had the pleasure to sing with on stage with It wasn't God who made Honky Tonk Angels will always be a favorite of mine simply because she was one person that I admired greatly for her talent and her down to earthness at the same time.

My all time favorite female now a days is Lorrie Morgan and I like anything that she sings. A couple of major favorites are'out of your shoes' and'What part of no don't your understand. In the first her best friend is with the guy she wishes she was with and in the second a man just won't take no for an answer.

If my math is correct I need 7 more and this is harder than I thought. But it says 20 so hope someone knows some of the songs I am talking about. For the last 7 I am just going to list the song and the artist

Only You by the Platters

The bed you made for me by Highway 101

Red roses for a blue lady by Wayne Newton

Me and Bobby Magee done by many but my favorite is Bette Middler

Black Coffee by Lacy J. Dalton

He taught me to yodel by Margo Smith Green River by Creedance Clearwater revival

Hope you enjoyed a little trip down memory lane
