Best Hindi Music Albums--''My Choice''. Review on Twenty Best Hindi Music Albums

I was born in music after 1990 so most of the albums I include in this review are after 90’s. It doesn’t means that old songs are not or there were no great album concept it’s just a matter of choice. My review has two portions first has five best old albums then fifteen new albums. The most focus of the review is on those albums which are collective as an album hit, I mean all songs become hit in these albums. (One thing I also clarify here is that there are my favorite albums; these may be different in different people.)

-OLD ALBUMS-

1. UMRAO JAN—music by-KHAYYAM. One and all. Every song is fantastic one. the album can be said as Asha & Khayyam. Very classical tunes. Pure form of classical Mujra. I bet you just listen one song of the album and you will urge for the album as whole. Simply a Masterpiece.

1. PAKEZAAH—music by—GHULAM MOHAMMAD. I know the music director of this album only for this album and without any doubt I can say it is a wonder in Indian music history. The classical style the legend of this album with Lata gi voice the album becomes more charming.

1. KABHI KABHI—music by—KHAYYAM. Who can forget Mukesh’s Kabhi Kabhi and main pal do pal ka shayer hoon. the unique style of Khayyam and Yash Chopra’s association to the movie sures that the album dosent go anywhere other than your music collection.

1. MUGAL-E-AZAM—music by—NAUSHAD. One of the most successful movie of Indian cinema history and the music is matching to its glory. The very best of music by Naushad who is indeed a great music director, he is among those who belives in classical music as their strength.

1. 1942 A LOVE STORY—music by—RAHUL DEV BURMAN. The album released in 1994 and you will be thinking why I put it in old ones. The reason is to secure its beauty and a tribute to R.D.Burman that his name is included in the legends. The album offcourse an extraordinary one.

1. AASHQUI—music by—NADEEM SHRAVAN. The 90’s start with this wonderful album. And that changed the track of the music again toward melody. All songs are equally melodious and superbly composed.

1. DIL WALE DULHANIYAN LAY JAIN GAY—music by—JATIN-LALIT. Te longest running movie in Indian cinema. The song must be up to mark, and it is really a treat. The songs are so well composed and sung that there is no comparison. The special use of instruments is also a key point in the album.

1. DIL TO PAGAL HAI—music by—UTTAM SINGH. Uttam Singh tries his luck as solo music composer for the first time and was so successful that he won the filmfare award. One of the best albums of 1997. The super melodious tunes and good arrangements with Lata gi singing the album is become a gem.

1. ZAKHAM—music by—M.M.KAREEM. The album is not for masses but for classes. Its the most appealing album which I ever like due its changed music and melodious concerns. All songs are soulful. The best combination of modern music with the classical style.

1. SANGHARSH—music by—JATIN-LALIT. Its again a super melody delivered by Jatin Lalit. The most of the gorgeous albums I ever listened. Sonu Nigam sings with heart and stikes it at once listening. all songs are superb ones and one like to hear them again and again.

1. ZUBEIDAA—music by—A.R.REHMAN. In my opinion this is the best album from Rehman till date. The gorgeous orchestration is one plus point and some extraordinary singing is the second one. The tunes are out this world.

1. TERE NAAM—music by—HIMESH RESHAMMIYA & SAJID-WAJID. The best album of  2003  and rightly so. The tunes are melodious and appealing as well. a pain in the music can be felt in each and every song. Udit Narayan singing with heart and delivering the best. Sameer’s lyrics are also on the top. As a whole album is superb
