Now this is a difficult topic to write on! Unless I am able to do a complete research and dig my mind to past and present music, it’s virtually very difficult to pin point 20 favorites songs. However, there are always some songs, which remain on one’s mind throughout, and it’s always a pleasure to hear them any time, anywhere. Here is a list of my fav songs…though they are in no particular order of liking or preference. The reason I do not rank them are they belong to different categories of music and it would be unfair to rate them. So here goes:
November rain
This Guns’N Roses has always been one of my favorites. Slash’s amazing guitar work on the song leaves me hooked onto it. Even today, I cant satisfy myself if I listen to this song just once…I got to hear it twice or thrice to be satisfied by the song. I consider this song as Slash’s best guitar work as yet.
Always
This Bon Jovi classic still remains on my all time favorite list. Great lyrics and superb guitar work is what hooked me on to this song. I just cant miss this song on any of my bon jovi favorites.
Summer of 69
What can u possibly write about this song. A song which catapulted Bryan Adams as one of the best singers. His husky voice made this song even better. With a young feel, this song is an absolute winner. Possibly Bryan Adam's best!
Hotel California
Another classic! The eagles brought out two versions, one with original electric guitar work and the other with acoustic guitar work. Both the versions are simply superb and the guitar is simply mind blowing! one of the best in guitars!
Take it easy
This is another eagle’s favorite of mine. I just love the tempo, lyrics and the guitars on this song. The acoustic feeling gives this song a added richness!
Top of the world
A relatively old song.but one of the best simple tunes I have heard in my life. The Carpenters come out brilliantly in this love song, with simple yet beautiful lyrics and even more hummable tune. A definate winner on my list!
Sultans of swing
Dire Straits. I have liked almost all of their albums and it’s quite impossible to say which song I like best in their list. however, I loved this song and listen to it again and again for Mark Knopfler's vocals and yeah, the guitars!
When love and hate collide
Possibly Deff Lepards best for me! I listened to this song in my first year of engineering and immediately got hooked to the tune. I loved the lyrics too, for at that time I was undergoing everything stated in the song and I could relate to that song.maybe one of the reasons it became a fav with me!
Please forgive me
Another Bryan Adam's classic. The video of the song is decidedly different and the dog is so cute! One of the best proposal love songs I could say on this! Superb lyrics and Bryan's voice.what more could one want?
You re in the army now
This Status Quo song is a immensely hummable song. This is certainly one of the best tunes I have heard from that group.and yeah, one of the best tunes I have heard as well. I dont know, this song still moves me, whenever I listen to it.
I want to break free
The essential Queen classic. This song is just amazing for the way Freddy sang it. add to it some good https://lyrics. a very 80-ish feel song, but I guarantee it to be a cult classic!
My heart will go on.
What can I possibly say about this song! This song re-wrote history of love songs. With a simply superb music and tune, and the rich voice of celine dion, make this song a perfect bliss to hear. Celine Dion's best after falling into you.

Any list without the mention of the king of pop, Michael Jackson is incomplete. I just love heal the world for its wonderful lyrics and the video. Give into me has superb guitaring by slash, while beat it has the same by van halen. Both the songs are superb in their own genre, but the guitar on give into me is simply breath taking! Though I must say, I can make a top 20-song list of MJ himself! You are not alone is another wonderful love song.and more importantly, it has been sung very beautifully indeed. I just love this song for its tune and the way, Michael sings it!

This bee gees classic is another favorite of mine! The song has got wonderful lyrics and is so moving that it nearly brings me to tears near the ending part of the song. Any body not succumbing to this song, must certainly have a heart of stone! bee gees are mesmerizing in this song!

An aerosmith classic. This song too has some great guitar works. And the song itself was complemented by a great video.I still get the bumps seeing Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone! Infact I became a aerosmith fan after this song!
principles of lust
Not a song really. But Enigma's tune on this piece is simply mind-blowing. Just the perfect piece to play on a lonely night, car drive! a superb tune and great beats make this song a evergreen hit!
Tears in heaven.
The Eric Clapton Masterpiece. I initially didnt like this song much. I knew Clapton had written this song for his dead son, but couldnt really define with it, until I lost a friend too. Frankly it was then, I realized the magic of the song, and I relate to this song since then. arguably one of the best lyrics on a song ever, even if the other 19 songs change on my list, this is a song which will stay together. probably the reason, why I chose to name it last on my list!
Well friends, here are my top 20. Ofcourse, as I said they are in no particular order, and they are all my favorites. There are many other songs too like pink floyd-we dont need no education, george micheal-careless whispers, last christmas etc etc., but as I said, compiling them from memory is difficult, and for the best of my memory, these are the gems I love!
