The Xmas season is upon us again! Just a piece of advice for anyone planning to go shopping in Newcastle.dont!I was Xmas shopping in town yesterday, and the queues were terrible. I ended up waiting nearly half an hour in the queue at M and S. As much as we complain about Xmas though, we love it really:D!

Having lived in England for most of my life, I have celebrated Christmas the way Christians do. We have carol services, traditional Xmas dinner and a Christmas tree. Its an extremely festive season! The songs that are on my list are my personal choice. I have grown up with these songs and I love them. I'm sorry, many of you may not know them, but they are a part of me and are sung by many every year. So here goes - in no particular order!

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie,

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep, the silent stars go by,

Yet in thy dark streets shineth, the everlasting light,

The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight

This is one of my favourite carols which tells everyone about the town of Bethlehem, in which Jesus was born. Its a sweet hymn which is sung at our annual carol service and loved by many!

Silent Night, Holy Night,

All is calm, All is bright,

Round young virgin, mother and child,

Holy infant so tender and mild, sleep in heavenly peace.

The above is a beautiful hymn sung by many. It is one of my special favourites as I have sung it since I was very young. It has a soft melody.and guess what?! I can also sing it in German!:DMajor Achievement, huh;-)?lol

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,

the little lord Jesus lay down his sweet head,

the stars in the night sky looked down where he lay,

the little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay

Ok ok, I know, many of you will now tell me to GROW UP!However, I have no intention of leaving this carol behind. This was the first ever Christmas song I learnt and it is mainly an infant song, but frankly.I DONT CARE!. I love it!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,

Oh what fun it is to ride, on a one horse open sleigh.HEY!

Another Xmas song I have been singing nearly all my life. This is a jolly Christmas song which many sing, and which many love!

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas,

Just like the ones I used to know,

Where treetops glisten, and children listen,

To hear the sleighbells in the snow

A classical christmas song, what can I say.just one of my favourites! Fortunately, we're expecting snow are christmas in Newcastle!

Rudolph the red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose,

And if you ever saw him, you would even say it glows,

All of the other reindeers, used to laugh and call him names,

They never let poor Rudolph, join in any reindeer games.

A favourite of all.i don't know anyone who detests this! Definitely a good song for getting you in the Christmas mood!

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?

In the lane, snow is glistening,

A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,

Walking in a winter wonderland

Another beautiful song that I love! I'm running out of things to say about these songs and carols! Im sorry!

Ding dong merrily on high, in heaven the bells are ringing,

Ding dong verily the sky, is risn with angels singing.

This is a carol which we had to sing and we also used to have competitions between our friends to see who could hold on the Gloria for the longest!I know it was sad, but it was Fun!

I don' want a lot this Christmas, there's just one thing I need,

I don' care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree,

I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know,

Make my wish come true, All I want for Christmas if you!

This song brings back fond memories. I remember I sang this song in a Christmas Talent Contest and Won! Except for that, a great song to sing to your loved one!

Frosty the snowman, was a very jolly happy soul,

With a corncob pipe, and a button nose,

And two eyes made of coal.

A special favourite around younger people.but still a favourite of mine!

You'd betta watch out, you'd betta not cry,

You'd betta not pount and I'm tellin you why,

Santa Claus is coming to town!

My mum used to sing this song to me! Lol, I still used to cry though! I remember, when I was little I used to be terrified of Santa Claus! I'm not now tho!

We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas,

We wish you a merry Christmas, and A Happy New Year!

A much more traditional song, sung by many. I'm not too fond of this, but it's still a jolly Xmas song.and my ringtone!

Deck the halls with bells of holly, Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la,

Tis the season to be jolly, Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!

Please will someone check my la's! Lol, a great song to sing around Xmas, which decorating especially. Definitely gets you into the Christmas mood!

Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the new born king,

peace on Earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled.

I love this song because it has such a grand feel to it. Normally played with an organ. This song signifies the time after Jesus' birth.

It's Christmastime; there's no need to be afraid

At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade

And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy

Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime

But say a prayer to pray for the other ones

At Christmastime

If you don't know about the song above, its the Band Aid Song. This is a complete charity song that it talking about the hunger problem in Africa at the time. Various singers come together and sing it, and all money raised by it will go to help in Africa. I think this is one of the greatest Christmas songs there ever will be as it is for a good cause.

Go tell it on the mountain, Over the hills and everywhere,

Go tell it on the mountain, Our Jesus Christ is born.

This is a much more upbeat song which I love.add some clapping and it definitely makes you feel much more jolly!

God rest ye merry gentlemen, let nothing you dismay,

remember Christ our saviour was born on Xmas day.

Another jolly upbeat song!

Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me,

I've been an awful good girl.

Another Christmas pop song! Don't worry folks we're nearly at the end of the list!

On the first day of my Christmas, my true love gave to me,

A partridge in a pear tree.

A traditional song which everyone knows off by heart.except for me!

O Come, All ye Faithful, Joyful and Triumphant,

O Come Ye, O Come Ye To Bethlehem!

A traditional song telling everyone to come and adore him at Bethlemen! A beauitiful hymn!

I'm sorry I have probably put you to sleep through this review, yet I couldn't help writing it!

Anway, if I'm not back on MS before Christmas, have a absolutely Brilliant Christmas and Happy New Year!

Have fun!
