There are articles about best bikes and also about worst bikes.But the the buyer sees only one thing. Will the bike give satisfaction equal to the money payed in the aspect for which he buys that particular bike.Bikes reviewed here are from all the groups.It is not according to the performance or mileage or look. It is the combination of all.It is my opinion and may vary from person to person. Recently I saw a message board question that which one to select, Victor or Boxer, as the price difference is around 14000/-.I hope this article may give some clue.( the listing is not in any order so u can select any bike).

1.CT 100(Bajaj)& Star(TVS)&Cd-Dawn(Hero Honda):Cheapest of all the bikes.Selling well.Easy to maintain.High fuel efficiency.If u want a bike to take u from place to place with minimum expenditure this is the best.TVS and Bajaj have many variants. As for VFM goes the least expensive gets the vote(Star city(top end model) does not get Fuel Gauge).Engines are same for a particular group.Price starts around 30K.

2.Kinetic King100: One might get surprised how this moped/bike gets in here.The reason is I always believed individual charaters in humans which applies for machines also. Everybody may not like high end machine and may not need also.According to the machanics Kinetic Engines are from Honda group. From My personal exp.( I have K4-100 for last 5 years and never had any problems)I can tell though the engines are not refined like Honda but reliable.Honda spares can be fitted for these engines also.King 100 gives superb mileage(next only to K4100)( as performance is low).Low maint.( No Battery).

Anybody wants just a vehicle to take them here and there this is the best.Costs around 25 K.

3.Pulsar150/180(Bajaj)DTSI: Many consider 150 is more VFM than 180.It gives a combination of power, equipment and efficiency.Ergonomics makes continous traveling for more than an hr back paining.Superb VFM for power bikers.Big tank.super handling.gear box not so slick.

Now after many changes( DTSi, gas shock, exhaust, etc., ) they are more VFM than before.

4.Avenger(Bajaj):Eliminator was good bike but beyond many people's pocket.So Bajaj did the trick as usual and fitted P180 engine in E and turned into best VFM Cruiser.I never liked the styling much.The tank should have been more inclined( now it looks flat).Otherwise superb, comfortable, efficient and many more.I think the Battery is only for Starter motor. That means if B is down Horn and other things will work but kick to start.

5.Discover/VictorGLX/and all the 125cc bikes:These are good bikes. But neither here nor there in terms of effciency and power.VFM depends on the customer.For me, If 100cc bike is enough for my usage there is no point going for 125cc for 1-2BHP extra power.

6.Achiever(HH), Apache(TVS), Unicorn(H), :These bikes are very good.U and Ach are same engines.For people who dislike the monoshock of H can choose HH.If you want power with a bit of mileage go for any one of this.

Bikes Not So Value for Money

1.Splendor\Passion.\SS\and all(HH): These bikes are very reliable and refined.Once upon a time when Hero Honda was alone without any competitions Splendor was selling a lot.( No surprise in being No 1).Nowadays the scene has changed .Lot of models are available and HH has nothing to offer other than a reliable, proven engine which is the smallest of all the bikes.Otherwise only for the name one can buy this.Passion is bikinied version of Splendor.Heavenly priced.Cd Dawn is best.

2.All the Yamaha Bikes except Enticer: These include CRUX/R, LIBERO etc., .These bikes are good but the pricing is not in relation with the rivals.For example Libero has less power than VICTOR and Freedom but priced 3000 more.Crux can be an entry level bike but price is same as Splendor.A case of Good product, poor marketing. Now Crux price has come down very much but still.

3.Boss(Kinetic): If HH can give a bike for 35k Kinetic should be able to give same reverse engineered( in otherword copied)bike less than that.But it costs more(around 2000 for special edition).If it is given for atleast 3000/- less than HH it can be considered as VFM.It is a good bike but Kinetic does not have a name among bike producers.( it is famous for mopeds and scooterettes).There is no guarranty that Boss will be in the market after say five years. Then selling will be a problem( There will be not takers for a stopped product).

4.CBZ(HH): Good bike but nothing to offer extra other than stunning look.still there are people who buy only for the look( and of course the Honda name).But better products are available now.

5.Karizma(HH): Good bike;Not many are seen on the road.similar to CBZ with bigger engine and fairing. Followers will be based on the look and more powerful engine.Many consider overpriced.

All LML bikes:LML has some good, some average bikes.Freedom has good VFM but dealers are present mainly in North India So when engine trouble comes real trouble starts for spares.Some thinking is required before buying, may be enquiring in Auto Shops about spares will hlp.

All the bikes mentioned in the list have cons and pros but this is about how much they are worth in comparison with other equal products. I have not mentioned anything about Enfield bikes.These are separate group and people who are using are also different group.not common.Also Aquila type of buyers are less( 200 bikes ordered)and after paying 1.5L where to use them? In our city roads!;I cannot imagine that.(With that money M800 is available).Slightest scratch, ur heart will bleed.Not common man's bike. It is impossible to find really they have VFM or not.
