Pankaj Parashar, who has given hits such as Jalwa and Chaalbaaz and flops such as Himalyputra and Rajkumar, makes a comeback with Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge. To be on the safe side he decided to include all essential ingredients such as romance, action, comedy, suspense and intrigue --- but even then, the film somehow falls short on what it has to offer in terms of a solid film.

The movie, set in rural Rajasthan revolves around Vir (Salman Khan). Being the one and only son, Vir is simply loved by his parents - Thakur and Thakurain Vir is engaged to a village belle Mahek (Diya) and life just seems perfect except for one thing!

It seems that Vir is kinda haunted by some memories. He has the strangest of dreams and experiences a series of deja vus. Is it some sort of temporary amnesia? Or a case of past life, as some suggest?

The truth comes out when a group of armed commandos come hunting down for Vir.

TNBP also features Sushmita Sen, who comes on screen in the second half, and Inder Kumar, Mukesh Rishi in other important roles. Johny lever plays a comic track.

Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge is sort of inspired by The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson) and it can be divided into two parts. The first half is somehow slow and builds the suspense. The second half is fast paced with some good action sequences. The film could have done away with some of the songs which simply slow down the pace of the film.

Pankaj Parasher seems to have ignored the need for a solid story and rather concentrated on making the frame look visually rich. So the result is a film which does look stylish but fails to deliver because of the weak story.

Performance wise, Salman Khan doesn't impress much and somehow leave audiences wanting for more. Diya Mirza looks beautiful but still needs to work a lot on her face impressions. Sushmita Sen, has done beautifully whatever was required of her. Johny Lever is able to get people laughing. Rajpal Yadav is loud.

Sajid-Wajid and Daboo Malik have been able to come up with 'Kaam Chalao' music and the placement of songs in the movie itself looks rather forced. Thomas Xavier has done an excellent job as the Cinematographer of the movie and Action Master, Mahendra Verma, also deserves a special mention.

All in all, good time pass.
