I watched this movie about a week ago and liked it (again). I had been thinking of writing a review on this movie for long. So here I am ?

Cast : Rakesh, Sandali, Himanshu, and Priyanshu

Director :Anubhav Sinha

Music :Nikhil-Vinay, Ravi Pawar

Lyrics :Faiz Anwar

Producer :Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar

This is one of the most underestimated movies which deserved to be hit but could not do well due to its naive star cast. The movie was a comeback for T-Series industries in film making after many years from the death of Gulshan Kumar. The movie is based on a poignant love story of a girl who fell in love with someone who took everything from her, the man she was going to marry, leaving her and his family's dreams shattered.

The plot : The movie starts with a function where Shekhar Malhotra (Priyanshu Chatterjee), a business wiz is being given some award. In the party Shekhar meets Amar Shah (Rakesh Bapat) a businessman from Canada. Soon they become friends and after the party went to their destinations. After a while Amar met an accident and that too with the car of Shekhar.

This incident left Amar shattered as he blamed himself responsible for Amar's death though that was mere an accident. Finally Shekhar decided to go to Canada to console Amar's family and his fiancé Piya (Sandali Sinha), while on the other hand police is on the hunt for the accused. After reaching Canada Shekhar found out that Shah Industries (Amar's Business) in dismal situation.

All the employees have left the company and company is under huge debt. Shekhar decided to help Amar's family by resurrecting the drowning Shah Industries. Finally he managed to pull Shah Industries out of situation but in due course he fell in love with Piya.

On the other hand Piya also fell in love with Shekhar. While Shekhar is fighting a war between his heart and his mind as he loves Piya but can not express the love as he is the one who killed her fiancé. Now the story takes a twist as Mr. Abhigyan (Himanshu Malik) who is also a businessman comes into their life and fell in love with Piya while Piya is completely ignorant about his feeling.

Shekhar came to know about it during a party and decided to sacrifice his love for Piya. Shekhar decided to leave Canada but Now Piya comes and confesses her love for Shekhar. But Shekhar said that he doesn't love her. After a lot of rona-dhona and senti* stuff Shekhar is about to board the plane when the CBI guy comes and arrests him.

After this some events happened which finally led to a happy ending which I am not telling here and leaving for the reader to find out.

Pros:

1.Very good plot

2.Music - the film contains about 12 songs, each better than the previous one. Very good senti stuff + some party/shaadi type songs + some love songs. Nikhil Vinay has done a superb job by churning out some lovely sweet rhythms. One song by Stereo Nation ''daroo Vich Pyaar'' is also very good party song and will tempt you to tap your feet. The picturisation of the songs are very good, the credit goes to Anubhav's creativity and expertise in picturising songs.

3.Direction - though this was the debut film for Anubhav Sinha and he has done a good job. BTW Anubhav is famous music video director and has directed many music videos.

4.Beautiful scenic locations.

5.Acting - Though the acting is not extraordinary but all of the cast have done a fair job. Sandali Sinha and Priyanshu have been the most impressive. Himanshu has also done a fair job. Others are average.

Cons:

1.Film's pace - it is a bit slow but still watchable.

Finally I would say that if you like senti kind of movies then you must watch it. If you don't like senti stuff that much you can still watch it (just kidding ...) ..No kidding... You can still watch it because of its beautiful soundtrack.

So if you have not watched it ... enjoy watching it. BTW I have watched this movie thrice since it had been released.

PS: senti = sentimental - mental
