This is the most useful app for all Indian smartphone users to block spam msgs and calls. I have started using it for 2 years and find it very useful because it automatically blocks all the telemarketing calls without bothering you. This app is very easy to use you just need to give your mobile phone no and once they verify your number then you are good to go. Recently they also started the UPI based money transaction facility in its platform, they have partnered with ICICI bank for providing this facility to its all indian customers which is a good thing for making a cashless society in India. The maximum number of their customer are from India so I think in future they will provide many other services along with their call and messaging services. With the help of this app you can know the name of the owner of any unknown number. But the chances are 50 50 that it will show the name of that person because truecaller use crowd sourcing technology for gathering the data for their database. And it was a privacy concern for some people who did not want to be recognised by truecaller and demanded to remove their name and number from its database so this company now provide some option where if you do not want to be identified by this company then you can do that. Actually what happens generally whenever any person install this app to his/her phone and started to using it at the same time this app scans the phonebook of that person and store all the data. They do this thing to all its customers and they use algorithm to sort those data with a name. So if anybody do not use this app and thinks that his/her number is not stored in this company's database then they are wrong because may be his/her friend use truecaller from their it gets all its data. Generally in present time it is very tough to maintain your privacy and if you are very much concerned about it then just do not use it and go to its website and check if your number is already listed in its site or not. If you find your number there then very easily you can delete that. But I am not that serous about it and I find this app very helpful for daily usage. They also provide a paid version of their app but I felt that free version has all the critical features which is useful.
