Although Truecaller is a good way to identify who the caller is, but this does not work all the time.
The logic behind this piece of Software is very simple. Once you get the call the Truecaller Application searches for the number in your contacts and if it does not find it will search in the contacts of you contact and so on .
There are about 50% chances that the number is found. But there is another problem here. Say if you are searching a number "1234" which belongs to Mr. X. But in one of your contacts this number is saved as "Dad". Hence the output of truecaller is Dad and not Mr. X.
So, in short truecaller does not take the data of the phone number from the service provider but it takes it from your own contacts.Although I recommend this app, but it does not serve the purpose when the number comes from an unknown source or has not been saved properly.
