Kooky film. Review on Trimurti

Just happened to catch this movie on SET MAX, I think the Subhash Ghai festival was going on. I wonder why I caught it though at the end of it all.

I was late at the start, though I guess in the end, you are able to actually tell what happened. What happened here is that Mr Ghai went absolutely bonkers. He made a mess of it in totality.

It is in summation, the story of a mother, and her 3 kids ( Ram lakhan had two kids). There in RL you had one honest elder brother, and one corrupt younger brother. In this film you have one good elder brother & 2 brothers who chose to make more money.Incidently in both films the first two siblings are played by the same guys, Jackie shroff & Anil Kapoor. The third in this case is Shahrukh khan.

And So it is , that the mother ,played by Priya Tendulkar, is languishing in some prison , courtsey the films villain Kooka - Dr Mohan Agashe ( I could not actually decide, whether he looked menacing or comic).

And while she is languishing, her kids fall apart. The elder one ( Shakti singh) decides to be a bumpkin. The second fella goes away very early to become rich. And coincidently ( what else) works for the Kook. And soon enough the youngest is also enrolled by the same kook. hahaha. thats the kooks way of being happy. The Kook also sings and dances around with the younger guy, while courting ..oops hooking him.

And so on it moves, with a couple of romantic angles dropped in just for the heck of it. And then suddenly, one fine day, the mother is released from prison, much to the disdain of saeed jaffreey who has been lying to her all along about her sons, and is now afraid of her wrath. (incidently he has also told the kids that their mom is dead).

Kooks finds about her release, and sends his gang in a chopper to kidnap the mother.Incidently the chopper has her own son (youngest - shahrukh). He recognises her, rebels against his gang, and is thrown off the chopper.

Later the mother is also thrown in some jungle swamp, which has a variety of snakes living together, again just because Mr Ghai decided so.

Meanwhile on being told by Mr Jaffrey of his moms return, and other events, he decides to go hunting for the kooka bird.

Then we are fed the story of how the kooka bird is to meet his death by the trimurti, who will come, one by air, water and land.

And so we have Anil in a chopper, Jackie on land, and shahrukh swimming from choppy seas. Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Soon we have disjointed scenes wherein, he shoots Anils chopper, which in turn falls on kooka's palacial ruins, from which he catches fire, which when his cronies try to put out, accidently pour petrol, so the flames leap high. but does all this mean the death of the kookabird. No he is destined ( much to our dismay) to die at the hands of the three brothers.

Then suddenly, he decides to kill all 3 birds with one stone. He is informed that those three are at a rocky ledge.(who told him , only the lord knows) So he goes near the ledge,spys the trio. Decides to have a landside. So what does he do?. he sprays his followers with lead( he could have shot in the air too huh?), and the sound reverberates in the air, and the trio fall to earth.

Kooky singh returns to his ruins elated. While harpping to the deity of his greatness, suddenly we have mommy eerily coming from behind the statue. She dares him to touch her..he traps her in the temple. Ties her up and takes her in a barrow, so that she could be thrown off a cliff .

Man! Whats happening here? I wonder as to the patience of those people who paid to see this. I am going nuts just narrating this to you.

Well, eventually as the barrow rolls down hill, the sons come uphill, and save her. while the brothers have a go at the kook. (Incidently the trio who had fallen in the landslide, get up only after their better halves, stare at another deity, and the deity decides she may as well bring em back to life, before the girls burst into a song n dance).

eventually, the kooks is hit by a trident, thrown by mommy dearest with such ease, (wonder where she practiced).

And then the trio put the kook on the barrow, and throw him down the hill.

Alls well that ends well. Yeah the film ended and suddenly my headache evaporated. Of the joy.!

Mr. Ghai I'd like to kick u up the A, just for making this film. Taken leave of your senses had you? A great showman r u? That you are . You showed us your kooky side.
