I was planning to buy a new hatchback a few days back. I settled for two models - Maruti Suzuki Ritz and Chevrolet Beat. Beat was my first preference always, and hence I requested for a test drive from Trident Chevrolet. I called up their reception number, and they forwarded my call to a sales lady named Samskruthi. This lady promised that she would get the car to my house the next day morning sharp at 9:30 AM.
I waited till 10:30 AM on the next day, and there was no sign of her. I called her up. She said she would be present in another 10 minutes. She finally arrived at 11. I asked her to take an U-Turn so that we could go for a test drive. This lady doesn't even know how to drive a car. She banged the car straight to our house compound. Luckily the damage was minimal to both the compound and the car.
I did the test drive, and was impressed with the car. Then I bargained with her to reduce the pricing and to include some more accessories, for which both of us agreed later on. I asked her to come to my place and collect the advance amount. It has been almost 4 or 5 days, and still I haven't received a single phone call from her. Throughout my discussions with her, I kept on insisting that I need the car at the earliest, and hence the booking needs to be done soon.
Neither there is any reply from this sales-person, nor does this sales-person respond properly to my calls. I did call her once, at which time she was having lunch. She said she would get back to me in 20 minutes. And till date I haven't heard from her yet.
So people, beware of Trident Chevrolet. If the attitude of the sales people is so rude before the purchase, just imagine the scene after the sale. For this reason, I have gone ahead and booked a Ritz. No wonder the sales of Beat is heavily taking a BEAT, thanks to irresponsible dealers like Trident Chevrolet. I do like the Chevy brand, but these dealers are not doing the right justice. I have decided that I will avoid Chevy cars in the future, and also changed the opinion of two of my colleagues who were planning to buy a Beat. Now they have opted for Swift LXI and VXI.
I have a question to Trident Chevrolet: Who will pay for the damage done to my house compound due to the negligence of your sales-person?
