Good dealer for Chevy

I had been scouting for good deals from chevrolet dealers after finalizing the car (Spark PS). I was in touch with the three prominent dealers Sundaram, Trident and Kropex.


I had been hearing bad reviews about Sundaram right from the beginning. And it proved right, Nobody from Sundaram did not bother to call back. So, I discontinued the talks with them right from the beginning.


So, my list has two dealers who gave me good deals (price and accessories), kept calling me for test drives...


To finalize the list of the accessories, I had been to Kropex on 18th Feb and there the confusion started.


1) They found in the end that my company's name is not in their list of "Corporate" for whom they offered discount. They realized this after one continuous week of discussions over the phone about the pricing. So, whatever pricing they have quoted to me over this week needs to be reworked again.


2) The sole purpose of my visit to Kropex was to finalize the accessories. (In fact, they asked to me to come down). After reaching there, they informed me that they have to discuss it with one of their manager's and that can be done only by next day (If that was the case, I did not understand, why they called me)


3) I told them that I would be finalizing the deal with Kotak for financing and for this purpose, I need to meet the guy and understand the terms and conditions of the finance. But, this guy was not there when I went there on 18th. While leaving the showroom, this guy (from finance) calls and tells me that the interest rate is 9.5% for 1st year (The Kotak guy at Trident offered me 8% for 1st year and 10% for 2nd and 3rd years). The finance person at Kropex is unaware of the 8% offer from Kotak. So, who is ill-informed? The showroom or the finance guy?


I feel that a showroom should give a pleasant experience to the customer in terms of product and the financing. If this is the level of expertise shown during sales, what can you expect when you give the vehicle for service???


My experience with Trident has been very good. They informed me about the prices, finance options (Comparison of all banks), delas available etc. I am not sure how Trident will turn out down the line (when the car needs to go for service), but on a comparative basis, I would rate them better than Kropex. Well, forgot the main thing. I booked a Spark LS today. Will be getting the delivery in 2 weeks.
