I have seen this place umpteen number of times- and have been there many many years back but somehow the location and look outside does not compel you to visit it
It happened that we had to pack something and it was the best place to stop and thats how we got to find out the real value of the place
We had packed a non veg curry dish and were really happy, so happy that we visited this again -not to pack but to have it there
The place is not the best of locations as its right on the 80ft road and diff to find parking. Added to that there are some crappy shops adjacent -bar, chicken shop that make the approach a little smelly if you happen to cross the place and walk back
The decor inside is a welcome change, and the place feels cozy. We ordered the murgh shorba- which was on our table in a jiffy and was simply great.The waiters are also dressed up well, giving the place a feel of a proper restaurant and not some time pass dhaba
Service is also good and prompt. We ordered mughlai chicken and roti- I guess its the best I have had in many months in bangalore and being from the nrorth I know whats its like from many years to taste proper butter chicken
The roti's are little expensive -14rs but the quality is worth it. I ordered some curd which was a disappointment in fact. I would like to try some dry non veg dishes -kababs etc which I have also heard are good from other folks who have visited the place. Our bill came to 300 for 2 people which I must admit was higher -i guess probably because the non veg dish was only 120.00 and rotis are higher than I thot @14rs. Its worth a visit for a decent meal at a place that gives you a feel of a proper restaurant and prices just good enough.
