Hi, In september 2009, I booked for a houseboat with travelguru to be checked in in december 2009. But on the day of check -in they were not able to provide any such thing and nor any other suitable equivalent alternate arrangement. I was traveling with my wife and infant and it lead too much of problem to all of us when they have nothing more than sorry. I however was fortunate to arrange an alternate houseboat to save the day. But travelguru has denied to pay me back expenses incurred for the alternate arrangement. Ideally, they would have not only paid for the alternate arrangement but compensated for all the mental agony and harassment caused, But they just come out with excuse that it was their vendor who was not able to provide houseboat, what they can do. if they can't own the bookings made with them and do not have any crisis / backup arrangement nor any person on the field, what's the point in making bookings with them.I strongly suggest people to avoid TRAVELGURU.com to save themselves from any crisis, mental agony and harrasement.
