Don't believe travel guru. Review on Travelguru

I have booked a hotel in Kodaikanal through travel guru. I got confirmation mail about my booking. At the last day of my travel I called to the booked hotel and said about my booking and the hotel management said, we don't have rooms available and we already informed travel guru, please talk to them.

I was surprised to hear, then I called travel guru and informed. I was told wait for some time we will check and get back to you. If I would not have called the hotel then I would not know about the rooms availability. The people of travel guru are worst, they shouldn't have common sense. They should inform me about the rooms availability.

I waited for 5 to 6 hours I didn't get any reply. again I called them, still there were saying please give some time. We were totally 15 members travelling the same day and finally I thought I will cancel my trip and let me give the final call. When I called them and they were saying all hotel you booked are not available and we have arranged another hotel(Royal Hotel) for you and you have to tell right now whether you want to book to the hotel or not. I said, I will check the review of the hotel and confirm you and the guy said, NO, you have to tell now otherwise we cancel your booking. I am left with no choice and have accepted.

Royal Hotel is the worst hotel ever seen in India.

Please don't believe travel guru, at the last minute they change your hotel or they may cancel your booking. My advice, before you do booking to any hotel through travel guru, please call to the hotel and confirm on rooms availability.
