Woahhh what a book.

Singh saab's narrative style is simple yet it manages to send a blood rush into your veins. Such is the magic of his simplistic yet beautifully transcending narrative style. The plot is set around the partion era. The places and events described in the book are fictional yet inspired from true events. Violence, emotions and the epitome of brutality that the people faced during that time have been enunciated in certain parts quite in detail and that is the primary reason why I won't suggest it for the weak-hearted. Yet according to my opinion these scenes specially make the book special in a certain kind of way.
