I picked up this car in 2006 Jan, since then 85, 000 kms in 5 years and still running.A pretty neat car built by Japaneese.I always wondered why Toyota had this horrifying affect on other car makers when they launch a car in any segment.i just got the answer after using one.The mileage of this car I generally get in Delhi city limits with ac on is 12.5 to 13kmpl @ a speed of 60km/hr.
On highway I got around 17kmpl with the ac on @70-80km/hr speeds rRajeev_Vermactively.Since am not a very rash driver I got these mileage I dont know about the others.The engine is neatly powerd 102BHP. Though it looks humungous from outside, the beauty lies once you start driving this machine.once u start driving you would start thinking am I driving a huge car?it does'nt feel like one.
Now @ the service part which generally no one things about while buying a car and cos of which every car I look forward to buy I ask them the service charge how much.Till date I dont remember paying beyond1.2k for a service.Only once I paid around 3k that was due to change of parts a couple of them still reasonable.5 years I havent changed much of parts.
The car is still rugged and intact unlike my 2 year experience with vista which I ve written about.I had an Omni Van I remember taking it for service means an avg bill of 5k.i realised that what I saved initially was taken latter half through the service.I came to know that most of maruti service centres the officers are paid less and they make up their salary through the sales made through part replacement.Most of the maruti service centre does that.I dont remeber even once Toyota Officials asking me to change the part once.Durability is of Toyota is good.
This was my first car trust me I cant rely on any other brand for cheap service. I found out Toyota corolla service charge is 1.2k once in 10, 000kms.for a D segment car the service being too cheap is something to wonder.Well Innova is not completly a Suv as people say its more an MUV.You cant do complete off roading with it, the suspension is not built for it.Its a good people mover has an excellent AC.Spacing inside is good.Though they need to update the Dashboard and pannels need some attraction there.I drove this car all the way from delhi to cochin, a crazy road trip and it didnt give me any trouble.Now again this june am going for a road trip.If you can unerstand what I ve written above you will come to know why Toyota has the word Legendary attached to them.Every problem that the company has come acrossed was short lived and they have rose back even strong.My next N number of cars would always be a Toyota and will recommend any car they make.
