I have a family of four grownups; and thankfully all of them are well built and tall; above 5.5 ft. So our Accent, though hugely loved, got a bit cramped at the rear coz papa dear ( thats me) who is a six footer and nearly 100 kilos, had to shove his seat all the way to the rear. So the kiddos both teens, were always complaining and joking about sitting in the back. Moreover after moving to jabalpur, with notorious bad roads of mp, we decided to upgrade to innova. We also felt the cheap diesel option would be a nice thing coz we are die hard roadies , and have travelled lacs of km in india on road. And the two pugs could also fit in if required. And yo, man, we were right. The car gives ya nearly 600 km on a full tank which barely costs 2500 gandhis to fill up. The space inside is like my drawing room. When I sit on the second row seat I can sit cross legged - something I do only on my sofa. My kiddos often move into third row to sleep.
I went for the 8 seater option coz both kids can sleep on both rows. Space aint much in boot when all 3 rows are up , but if luggage is much then you can carry a fridge after folding 3rd row. The car makes ya feel like king of the road coz of the high sitting stance - I can get into my seat standing! In my esteem I had to literally lie down to sit! Its got convenient little spaces all over to stash your ash trays, booze, beer, sctoch glass, water bottles and the works. Go in for the g4 version coz u can fit a double din touchscreen dvd.a lovely car. But the looks could do with a bit of sporty touch. I dont like the seat fabric much and am gonna go for leather seats. Also I feel a little back stiffness on long drives, the driver seat lacks lower back support I think.
Its got wonderful ground clearance so I can move fast on mp roads. Its got great suspension so it makes ince meat of potholes. Go for it - you cant go wrong on this car. If two car critics ever agree on one thing - its that this car is a super piece of engineering.
