I just happen to read the comment about Innova deficiency in braking at high speed and I am shocked that this is really true!!!!!
As I have ultimate faith in Toyota technology I never thought on this could be the reason and the cause of my accident on 24 Dec 2006. at speed of about 70 Km I had to bang into a wrongly parked Tipper truck (being used BY GAMR for broadening road for Shamshabad airport near Hyderabad) and the bonnet got smashed badly even while applied brakes more than 150 m. Only good thing I found was the Car just went straight and did not serve right or left.
Toyota certainly needs to look into this aspect and also caution the users. I have the Video of the site of accident would try to upload when feasible. It shows the damage to the car and the long skid marks.
We should all make effort to share this with other owners to not to let them get into this situation as otherwise it really feel good to drive the Innova car at high speed with very less vibrations or feel of speed you seem to be in control of the car till you brake!!!.
