I have been a pround owner of Innova which I purchased in Feb 07.  Earlier I have been owning Qualis from the year 2000 (had changed twice).  The vehicle is good in all respects and I have  developed a confidence on toyota vehicle as I have been having one for the last 7 yrs.  In the last 7 yrs of owning a Qualis, I have never taken my vehicle for service with any specific complaint but only for the routine 5000 kms service.

Before the actual decision to finalise on the purchase of the vehicle, I had checked on the servicing part and the cost involved.  I was catagorically told that the biggest advantage will be by means of service cost as the vehicle will be serviced once every 10000 kms.  Now, my vehicle has run the first 10000 kms and the free service is over (when all car manufacturers give three free services, hear effectively one has 2 free services at 5000 & 10000 kms).  I have been informed by the company that the vehicle will have to be brought for a ROUTINE CHECK at 15000 kms and this should be costing about Rs.2000 plus.

I have been trying to get a positive reply whole of yesterday that WHY the dealer Lanson Toyota have consealed this information while selling the vehicle.  There was no mention on this while give the various details of the vehicle. Infact they had prepared a chart showing how they compare the cost of service over a year with other vehicles in the class.  Now they are clueless and say that this information is available in the warranty booklet.  I have been telling them that I get to see the warrantly booklet only after purchase of the vehicle.  They best part is Lanson engineers state that IF the vehicle is not brought for the 15000 kms service and if any thing happens at a later date, the vehicle will not be covered under warranty.  Moreover, I wanted this to be informed to the manufacturer but the dealer is reluctant in giving the contact details.
