I have been waiting for the Fortuner since past 4 years and was hugely let down to see it. I saw it in Singapore and she was a darling, but not this one launched in India. Toyota has lost an ardent fan of their brand. I have their corolla and am loving it. Now that's Toyota originally.
The interiors guys interiors. They are plain jane, lifted from the Innova. Feels like driving a taxi. Toyota have short-changed us Indians. Would any of you like to pay 20L for an innova? Once inside it feels like that. In fact, Innova is a pleasure to drive, not the Fortuner. Clutch is too heavy, gears take years to shift and throw is long. Steering works on the lats of the driver, not comfy at all. Suspension is too wobbly. The fellows should've charged a lakh extra but given good quality interiors, brakes, gears and suspension. To boot, they are mum on the automatic version. I certainly am not buying unless they address these issues.
Are Toyota guys hearing?
