Toy Story changed the face of animation films. It was the first animation film to make it really big and helped leap frog animation technology miles ahead. Even though Toy Story 2 was a bit of a let down, 3 has resurrected the franchise. Directed by Lee Unkrich, who was the co-director of toy Story2, this movie is one gem of a film.
This adventure film, is about Woody, Buzz and the other toys, who belong to a boy named Andy, being accidentally sent to a Day-care center and their journey back. The toys are mistakenly sent to this day care center which seems to be a heavenly place, but the toys soon realize that it is worse than hell. Woody chalks out the plan to help the other escape from this hellish place.
What is most intriguing about the film is its story and screenplay. The film is filled with the most amazing sequences that keep you on the edge of the seats. It also has some brilliant dialogues that leave you in splits, expertly delivered by the likes of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Micheal Keaton. Apart from the usual characters this film has some amazing new characters like the Lotso - A cute huggable bear, who turns out to be the villain, Ken - Barbie's love interest and cute Pricklepants Plush.
When you have a Pixar production, the detailing of the animation cannot be questioned. Painstakingly detailed, the characters look extremely believable and affable. The story not only tickles you, but also gets you emotionally involved with the toys. You can feel their pain and the last 15 minutes may leave a few in sniffs.
If you haven't seen it yet, this is the best film in Theater's world wide at the present. Go, and have a great time at the cinema. This is what Cinema is all about - Larger than Life fun. Go unleash the child in you.
