Just a quick note to prevent you from getting fooled by the glitz of new Total hypermarket near Akme Ballet, especially for buying clothes.
Their manager- Arup Dutta has a very pathetic attitude & total disregard for customers. We recently had two bad experiences in succession, after making the mistake of buying a Levi's jeans.
First, my wife purchased a birthday gift for me(Levi's jean) getting an agreement from the salesperson even before her purchase that if I didn't like the design, we would get it exchanged. However, when we went for an exchange, they refused! Only after a lot ofunnecessary high-pitch argument, they relented and allowed us to exchange it! After that, we gave the replacement jeans for length alteration.
Unfortunately, we misplaced the alteration slip. I went to Total and told them clearly the date, color and my name(they could even find my record in their alteration book!). Despite this, their manager- Arup Dutta refused to hand over the altered jeans to me- despite a long discussion trying to convince him! I asked him if someone loses their alternation slip- should they bid goodbye to their jeans purchased for Rs. 2, 600?
To which, his reply was- I don't care what the customer thinks, if they lose the alteration slip, they lose their jeans!
Clearly, Total Hypermarket near Akme Ballet- especially the garments section is following an "empty bucket" approach towards customer retention. They feel new consumers will anyways keep coming- given India's huge population- so let us not give a damn about offending a few!
Now, it's your choice if you still want to buy garments from them BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
