This is the second HDD of the same make and model from Toshiba that I have just bought. The first one I bought for Rs. 3, 519 and this one I bought for Rs. 3, 775. I have used the first 1TB HDD since Nov 2014 and now it is full with data. My experience with these drives has been great so far. I happen to also own a WD Ultra Passport 1TB, and have found that the performance of both these drives is essentially the same. The Toshiba HDD actually has less vibration and doesnt get as warm as the Western Digital HDD when transferring/copying data.
THE WARRANTY IS FOR ONE YEAR THOUGH, IF YOU CHECK THE TOSHIBA SUPPORT WEBSITE AND PUT IN THE MODEL NUMBER.
It all depends on the piece that you happen to get. Most of the time, you will have no problems with either Toshiba or WD. So just keep your fingers crossed, treat your HDD's with care, and hope for the best that they will last. What more can one do, lol Be positive.
