It sure is maddening when you have this large scale in your face advertising bombardment from electronic companies like Samsung, LG, Sony etc. However an electronics major like Toshiba in India has had a very quiet presence and it has avoided getting into the ad splurge by letting its products talk for itself.
It is this subtlety that led me to discover Toshiba after buying the 21D7 a couple of years back. It was a sound investment and therefore the automatic choice was to upgrade it to the 29AZ7. I bought the 29inch beauty a year back and have been more than satisfied with it. It is a no frills television with the best clarity and sound output (not the booming kind).
Toshiba has developed what is called the Super Crystal Picture technology which gives its unsurpassed picture output along with a host of other inbuilt features (for details visit Toshiba-india.com) that makes viewing a total pleasure. Therefore playing DVDs on it is a real treat. The blacks are perfect with the all round color geometry that even a Sony cannot match (LG, Samsung are not even close).
The Toshiba Quattro Bomba AZ7 is highly recommended to those who believe in sound logic and have real taste than those who are swayed by the flashy, nonsensical and skewed advertising.
