The living memory of Jodhaa

This place is just a stone throw away from Sikandra Fort and the Tomb of Akbar the great. And resembles the tomb of Akbar, this is said to have been built by Jehangir in the memory of his mother, the Hindu wife of Akbar named Mariam Uz Zamani(known to us a Jodhaa)

This place like most other mughal era buildings constructed is in red sand stone with a bit more cleaner mughal architecture than the Sikandra fort which looks like a fusion of various styles. But this is no less grand, the entry to this place is limited to a certain time from(10 am - 4pm) and like the Akbar's Tomb nearby is infested with Monkeys.

Thankfully there are no tour guides here to pester you. Though once you get out of the compound Taxi Drivers will sure surround you asking for you itinerary, in my case I did not have any. The best time to visit is after 3 which the crowd is a bit less and the eateries around the place start buzzing.
