A Fine entertainer . Review on Tom, Dick And Harry

If one tries to analyze the basic pretext of Tom Dick and Harry, there is nothing much to ponder about. Tom Dick and Harry is primarily a movie with multiple gags thrown between scenes that come out of situation than being designed .A movie like this can have only two results. Either the plot completely falls on its face with the confusions amongst the characters resulting in a high degree of confusions for the audience to comprehend. Or the other way around, where the situations are knit together with such a tight grasp and pace kept so fast, that audience do not get a single minute to think about any logic behind the happenings. Fortunately Deepak is very successful in making the latter result happen!

If treatment by the director is the King here then a patchy screenplay at places is the villain here. The first half of the movie isn't great shakes with things settling down to be average after a good beginning.But the second half is particularly hilarious and takes the graph of film better!

Anuj is superb in a role that demanded him to let his hair down and he does exactly that. Dino is a revelation with his comic timing. Though he is a bit awkward in the first half, he takes charge completely in the second half with an end to end appearance in this part of the movie. He comes up with a wide range of expressions and his dialogue delivery are spot on. Jimmy does quite well without resorting to turning loud .Celina is barely there.

Sets are completely in tune with contemporary tastes and the entire flat has been imaginatively decorative. Ditto for the sets of practically all the songs. Cinematography is rich and demonstrates the genre of the movie wonderfully well. Background music is patchy as at places it is funky while at others it becomes unnecessarily melodramatic when the need of the moment was to turn the scene into comic.

Thats the reason why one is not able to relate to some of the scenes as in the mind you believe it to be comic but the director seems to be trying to make it look dramatic. Dialogues are witty! Himesh's music is fun throughout with all the tracks being lavishly picturised.

Overall, as expected, Tom Dick and Harry is a fine entertainer and not a single soul could come out after watching the movie and say that it didn't work for him/her!

Watch it for some hearty laughs!
