Can you imagine my surprise when I saw the Toastmaster Softwave Waffle Baker on sale? Normally, this appliance sells for about $40.00 but on sale, I picked one up for $35.00. Okay, so $5.00 isn’t really much of a savings but hey, it’s better than full price, right? Yes, I could have gotten a waffle baker for a much less cost, but then, I’d miss out on all the wonderful features of the Toastmaster. For instance, on the bottom, it has FOUR rubber feet that are guaranteed NOT TO SLIP! Okay, so that’s not so important, but how about the waffle design? It’s not your usual square pattern. It’s eye-cathingly wavy throughout the round waffle!

All right, so the design isn’t important, either. But the next feature is! Ever make waffles only to have them stick in the waffle baker? With the Toastmaster Softwave MasterCoat that doesn’t happen. The grid is designed for easy removal of the waffle. And that IS a plus! Speaking of the MasterCoat, this also helps in making the cleanup a SNAP!! (I use nothing but a hot wet sponge with Dawn dish soap.) Another great features is the indicator light. This little indicator lights when the baker is hot enough to pour your waffle mix inside and then goes out – and get this – it lights again when it’s time to remove your waffle! No guessing! How’s that for convenience? You want more? Okay, you asked for it! The Toastmaster Softwave has an automatic temperature control so you don’t have to guess or play around with different temperatures and thus possibly burning your waffle or worse, undercooking it. This little round appliance has a stay-cool touch handle that allows you to life and lower the lid without getting burned. The electrical cord (which only uses 650 watts) is short so there’s no danger of it hanging off the edge of the counter. The only thing I didn’t like about this waffle maker (or any others for that matter) is that the size of the waffle is only large enough for one adult. Yes, I think you guess it! I went back to Wal-Mart and bought another Toastmaster Softwave Waffle Baker. This way when my son and his family visit, I can make two at once and since they bake fairly quickly, in no time at all, we’re all sitting down together for breakfast.

Once again, waffles are a part of the beginning of our days and thanks to Toastmaster Softwave Waffle Baker, they’re better than ever - and HOT!.
