It may happen with you too. This classic first caught my grand pa's eyes; then my father read it and now, I have absorbed its message. It must not be easy for Harper Lee to depict racial tensions of her era. Unlike today, then a US President or super stars, world renowned TV anchors must be a sheer imagination.
What a book! Here, lee depicted the undertone of american society- the race.
Her hero is a white lawyer, who fights against a racial society to protect a colored convict!
Yes, she wrote this book so beautifully that many civil rights activists like Martin Luther King Jr praised it. Any wonder, it is among the classics.
No, Lee had not written any major work- though, her literary agents recently surreptitiously discovered a sequel to this great book!
I wish all to go through it!
