Hi Folks!
I had to write about this New Titan Fast Track wrist watch Advertisement on T.V since when ever it comes on I hear “YESS SIR”,” YESS SIR” from girls depicting and degrading women in a way that beats
Even B grade and D grade bolly-wood films.
For a Change-
1) I did try to see this advertisement with my other HAT on, to find out if there is a way to understand this AD in a better way.
But I could understand with my limited grey cells that if SEX or mere projection of Sexuality sells than TITAN has the answer to solve their sales problem with this advertisement.
2) A watch on the wrist is a style statement / a fashion statement and like footwear a wrist watch speaks of the person wearing it But with this Ad you can be sure that a watch can also reveal a Mans libido:).
3) Can women be attracted to men by the wrist watch they wear? Heights of materialism, and surely only in our country it can be attributed more to women
than men.
THE FILM
A male student wearing a Titan Fast track wrist watch is in a class where the teacher is taking attendance roll.
The Teacher call out his name, he lifts his hand with the watch on and lo-behold starts the sound orgy.
The female students seeing the watch get so excited (is there a secret here?) that one by one they shout out with sexual undertones ( I would be the dumbest one around If I miss out on what is being tried here) “ YESS SIR”, “ YESS SIR” , and while the girls are shouting this out the whole class has a happy “ GO FOR IT” smile On their faces and finally a girl student slams on the desk while standing and shouting “ YESS SIR”,” YESS SIR” with final shout sounding the end of the orgy And reaching of orgiastic pleasure.
The Man hides his face with his hands (probably his libido has been fully exposed).
There is then a flash on the screen “ How many you Have”(Girl friends or wrist watches or orgasms? It can mean anything), well if a woman is worried of the many, then may be she can try putting this wrist watch on her mans hand.
FINAL WORD
1)I have seen many an advertisements using women as mere sex objects to sell the products, but this one coming from TITAN – the House of Tatas is really a sad statement of the desperate measures even a highly reputed group can take to sell.
2) I personally feel this advertisement is the cheapest take on women and female sexuality, forget all those advertisements with skimpily clad women, this beats them all since the women are fully clothed and still it’s cheap.
3) May be I am trying to read too much in to this obnoxious film… I hope I am
4) “I am blind , I am deaf, I am biased” as the famous Zulu philosophy holds good watching this advertisement .
