Titan - A good product but be aware of price tag. Review on Titan Watches

Titanneeds no introduction as a company and product. I personally admire the products of Titan Watches.

My recent experience will help the customers to do a good market survey even if you are going for a reputed product like Titan. Same model of same company may cost you differently in Delhi in two shops merely 10 Km away in Delhi.

Recently, I was looking for a watch that I could gift to some one I love. I went to Kamla Nagar, Delhi and zeroed on one watch. The cost was Rs. 1800/-, which the shopkeeper informed me as listed price of Titan Company. He offered me that he will take my old titan watch and reduce 25% of the listed price. He informed me that offer duration is over even then he was ready to oblige me. So far so good. I decided that I will come next day and purchase the gift for my dear one.

Next day, Due to some other work, I went to Chandni Chawk for some work. There, I though that why not try on some other titan dealer to get a better model, I can do so? While looking at several models, I selected the same model, I identified yesterday. I was shocked to see that list price is Rs. 1600/- only. I tried to use the trick, I insisted that he must give me 25% discount in lieu of my old titan watch as the same was offered by me titan dealer in Kamla Nagar.

The shopkeeper politely refused the offer and informed me that the offer is now over. Nevertheless, he offered me 15% discount on the list price as a gesture of relationship. He also told me the name of shop in kamla nagar who change the listed price of titan and loot the customer. As a result, I purchased the watch from shopkeeper against bill and guarantee card.

I would like to advice the customers that before actually purchasing the branded items please check with the original rate list from the shopkeeper before discussing discount, rebate, etc. The shopkeeper may cheat you and you will never know what happened with you.
