Sadness at Srirangam. Review on Tiruchirappalli

Last year after the heavy rains in south tamil nadu we went to see trichy, tanjavur & srirangam.

the Tanjavur & trichy trip was fine except for this on incident. I could not just reconcile it even after all these days.

there were very many beautiful temples in and around trichy, but which afffected me more mentally was srirangam.

In side the garba griha the moola virat vigraha had cockroaches crawling all over, and the archakas were only interested in dakshina. After thirtha they open their palms as if inadvertently for dakshina.

In the dull light I could count as many as I could.

What can adevotee say if such things happen to them.

coming from far off places to see thier lord in such condition.

there was nothing much I could do as I was an outsider & just about anybody cannot comment on temple mannaers in Tamil nadu or any where in india I am sure..

No attention was paid to cleanliness, at that time there was not much rush either.

there it is after all these days I wanted to tell somebody.. now I have said it.. the heavy ness in my heart is gone.

This incident has left a bad after taste and made heart heavy.
