Windows Phone, the erstwhile mobile OS of Microsoft(because now it is Windows 10 Mobile), is the best mobile OS ever. Sadly though, there are lot of misconceptions about the OS itself in terms of price, apps, user experience etc. due to a lot of brainwashing from the ignorant and narrow-minded Lagdroid fanboys/fangirls, and the anti-Microsoft media like NDTV Gadgets and BGR. I have used this OS for more than a year now and I love it like anything, it's too good. I am going to list here why I feel WP is the best mobile OS:
WP is superb in terms of performance. It never lags, the phone works just like brand-new even after more than a year of usage and there is no need to use RAM cleaners or task killers in this OS. It works great even on a 512 MB RAM device.
It doesn't consume too much resources. Battery life is awesome too. With moderate usage, the phone's battery can last 2 days and almost a day with heavy usage.
It is secured from all malicious software like viruses, malware, spyware and trojans.
It's extremely user-friendly, especially for those who are not tech-savvy and merely use their phones for calling, messaging and social networking. Even senior citizens can easily learn how to use WP and will enjoy using the WP device. The dual-SIM feature is also very easy to use in WP unlike in other mobile OSes.
The OS UI is simply breathtaking and beautiful. I love the concept of Live Tiles which look so aesthetically pleasing and can be rearranged as per my wishes. The apps also look so beautiful.
Although there are lesser number of apps in the WP store compared to Lagdroid and iOS, Microsoft ensures that no malicious or rubbish apps enters the store due to its strict checking of the apps before they are published in the store.
There is no fragmentation and the user experience on all WP devices is almost consistent. Almost consistent because the Lumia apps are not available for the non-Lumia WP handsets.
Microsoft never spies on what a user does with his/her WP device. And MS services are n times better than their Scroogle equivalents.
