I was told once that if you have too many possessions, there is no room for G-d to give you any more things. I believe that every thing we have is by the grace of our higher being.

The first thing I would suggest you do to get rid of the things you don't need, is to open your closet.

.:Then Make Three Piles Of:.

Your shirts, blouses, trousers, dresses, suits, bathing suits, pajamas, house coats, coats, lingerie and shoes.

In the first pile put every thing you have worn in the past two years.

In the next pile put every thing you love so much you can't give it away, (this should be your smallest pile).

In the last pile put every thing you have not worn for the past three years, (this should be your largest pile).

.:Next:.

Take the third pile and makes sure every thing is clean. Then put it in boxes or bags and give it to charily. I give mine to the Women's Shelter for battered women, or the Homeless Shelter.

The things in the second pile should be put in the back of your closet, (on one side), or in a the top drawer of your dresser.

The first pile should be sorted again, into summer, spring & fall, (these are often the same type of cloths), and winter clothing.

The cloths that you will not be wearing until the seasons change should be hung on the other side of your closet, or put in the second highest drawer, (for cloths you can fold).

The cloths you are wearing now put at the front of your closet or in the lowest drawer.

If you have more than one closet, then put the cloths I told you to put on each side, in there.

.:Make Sure:.

Make sure you never put any dirty close away. Wash them or dry clean them.

Leave a lot of room between the cloths you hang, because this lets them get air and keeps them spelling fresh.

In Canada, we have a product called Bounce. These are small sheets to put in your drier, to make your cloths smell fresher. I put half a sheet, in a few pockets, inside a few shoes, and in every dresser drawer.

In the fall we go out and collect chestnuts, that have dropped on the ground. We take them home and give then one bang with a hammer, (to open them up a bit). These go into every closet and dresser drawer in our house. We use them to keep moths, ants and spiders from coming into our house.

.:I Hope:.
