What to carry in your travel medical kit?
Aug 23, 2016 12:39 PM 2222 Views

Travelling can be a fun experience; exploring new places finding new people is always boosting. But if you get sick or your get some health disease while your trip it can be a horrible yet painful experience. Before travelling, as we all check our luggage, bags and tickets strictly, we must remember to keep a medical kit along with our other important items. Either you are going to travel for office work or for your family holidays keeping proper medicinal kit is necessary. I would add here some tips how to make your medical kit and stay away from troubles. 1. Make a small kit, zipper bag or good air tight container which can be used as your medical kit. If you have a small pouch with divisions you can use that for the same. Keep small absorbent cotton bundle, small scissors and few wash-proof band aids in your kit.

  1. Medicines like Disprin, and Paracetamol should be kept in the kit. For mild headache and mild fever you can take them. Also keep some Diegene tables and Rantac pills while you travel in case of acidity or stomach crankiness you can consume them.

  2. Remember medicine is generally an expensive issue in other countries so better to be prepared with your own pills and prescription. You can keep some pain killers in case you may need and also small bottle of antiseptic liquid such as Dettol or Savlon with bandage roll.

  3. If you are travelling with small kids make sure you keep good quality wet wipes, hand gel and syrup for mild cold and cough. As kids catch cold fast once the climate and conditions change around them.

  4. If your are going to some developing countries you can take physicians advice beforehand. As in some countries they need vaccination before they allow travelers.

  5. If you are suffering form diabetes, thyroid, blood pressure etc. then make sure you keep all your regular medicines with your stuff.

  6. Many times once we go to a new place and in new climate our body reacts and we feel comfortableness and energy less. Few sachets of oral re hydration solution works well in such condition. It provide energy and you can prepare it easily anywhere.

Travelers can pick health problems and infections easily especially if you are going to a foreign land. Its always a good idea to collect information and know about the place in advance only. Remember if you get some serious illness then dont stick to your own medical ways but reach to the doctor immediately so you can enjoy your travelling fully.
