Shocked, was my reaction, when I stepped into the car accessories shop.. there were so many things to buy, even though u buy a new car..
Just to all the new ppl, who buy a new car, here are few things that could help you to select when u have decided to make up your car.. :)
Starting with the most simple and down to earth.. I mean down to your car , are the rubber mats.
generally there are these new car dealers, who provide with car mats, if you could get a could deal with me and ask him to put them, without any cost..
If u go to buy a new rubber matt they range from 200 rs to 1500 rs.. the quality varies.
But I think rubber mats are very useful, coz the carpet like material in a new car is good to get dirty.. especially if u have taken the car during the monsoon period they are must..
Would advice not to buy any accessories from the car dealers, as prices are always high in car showrooms.. even for rubber mats too..
next comes to mud flaps.. Mud flaps are useful since they help to avoid to get the lower engine part or the side of the doors from the mud and dirt water to be sprayed on your car..
Mud flaps also could be given by car dealer.. these are really cheap and u cant ask him to at least give it..
I didn't know this and walked out of the showroom , with just a raw car.. without accessories..
mud flaps start from range 100 to 250.. max 300..
Alright.. before I step into the car.. there's one more part which is good.. but not necessary.. the spoiler..
for ppl, who don't know what spoiler is.. itz a back light. generally at the top or over the "dickey" ... :)
Spoiler helps to give a more of aero dynamic shape.. and looks cool at night..
Now to step into the car..
you can start with the seat covers..
Seat covers are good as the company fitted covers are not that soft and good looking..
u are bound to put some new seat covers..
There are many types in seat covers.. even the leather ones have types
Seat covers range from 1800 to 7500..
leather ones start with 2000 and crushed leather somewhere around 2800 and more..
Coming the next important component in the car is the car deck..
believe me.. there's a huge collection.. and variety for car players.. starting from players to front speakers, back speakers, woofers, amplifiers..
U have a lot range to pick up from.
some of them are ..
Sony X plod. Alpine, bazooka.., blaupaunkt.. JVC, pioneer, BOSE, and lot many local brands..
wont go into the details, as to which one is best.. But one thing would like to tell u is this.
In car speakers and players .. there's this funda of .. Grey market and original..
So when u select them.. directly ask the car accessories shop owner if they are original or from grey market..
they tell u flat onthe face..there's a def. difference in the price range..
if you are going for the original ones. make sure u collect the bill and the warranty card that comes along..
Its better to take system with warranty. but generally speakers don't get worn out.. so u can try your luck for the grey market stuff also.
but for the car deck player.. a grey market piece is strictly NO NO.!!
Coz itz costly .. and whenu pour such amount of money and end up with a bad piece, then u would land up in mess..
So go for original player.. ! Player comes with many display functions. and the cost varies basically coz of the display..
these days.. new add on is the I pod compatibility... that z a good feature.. if u regular user of the I pod or Mp3 player.. then this player is def. useful..
Also, this might sound.. silly, but folks car perfume also makes a difference. especially if u have rubber mats.. then def.. u need a car perfume..
there are 2 types.. one is which fits with car cooler and other one is the bottle..
the one that getz fit with car cooler.. would suggest to go for Ayur.. They are really good.. although they last for only 45 days.. but the good fragrance stays..
bottles also.. work..fine.!! they carry over a duration of 2 months or more..
bottles are bit costly starting from 150- 450..
some common brands are Serena, Poppy. and gel types(i forgot the company name)..
Also.. in car perfumes. there are Delhi made, china made and originals..
so check that b4 u buy.. Delhi and china made.. range low. from 150 .. to 200..
rest are on higher side.
N'ways I guess. I have started with many stuff.. and still want to write more..
But running out of time right now..!!
