Comfort comes first. Being comfort to ear is the key feature of any ear phone.
Decide between earbuds or Head phones. Ear buds are the best when you are short on space , but still want a way to listen music. Cheap ear buds often run into problems like falling from ears , hurting ears or simply making dent . so you need to buy an ear phone with good price or it must be average in price. Donot buy cheap earphones otherwise you will sure face problems after 15-20days usage.
Another thing is that don't waste your money only on brand name. Performance also matters. So the best way to choose an good earphone by testing it yourself. Test if the frequency is from 10Hz to 25000 Hz. Below 10Hz abd above 25000Hz doesnot make any sense because you can't hear them.
Also evaluate earphone's sound isolation feature. This refer how well they keep music and block outside noise.
