Well, hi all! I converted my Gypsy 1000 to LPG, legally. The gas is clean and good, stinks a bit sometimes.The acceleration was crackly and lively. I used an original Italian kit, RTO registered. Well, I had a boring old van for 15yrs and for 9yrs was on legal LPG. I think I drove to Chennai and back some eleven times. The mega trip was to Pune and back. Twas insane! Seriously, ran well. I put in new Bosch spark plugs every four months.Now, lets see how the Gypsy goes.
It is a beast of a thing, each wheel weighs the same as my daughter, and she is twelve.LPG is the best at this time. In future I hope H2 can be used although I know new kits will have to be used. Why can't we bloody well generate our own oxygen and hydrogen from water and from solar panels in the service station and then use it. We have one of the highest incidences of sunshine in the world, except monsoon. After the combustion of hydrogen, water is formed. We are so ahead in IT but can't be practical to produce our own fuel based on the SUN.derr.
Aren't we clever! Petrol sux and the Arabian countries get subsidies but we pay through our noses for our fuel. not because we are corrupt or are good at swindling? Hey India.lets sing Jana Gana Mana, but think about what we can do before we sing it!
