Pune – Ahmedabad, Daily we have numerous Bus facilities from Travel service providers so that traveler can choose to travel in A/c or non a/c, sleeper, Semi sleeper and seating. Being a regular traveler on this route for the last 3 year period, I have noticed a lot of issues that all travelers are facing.
We have buses offer single sleeping at Rs.400/- per person (non A/c) and A/c between Rs.1000 to Rs.1200/-. I don’t think and not aware of any control on the fare charged by these buses; rates are drastically change basing on the demand and availability for the trip if you are lucky you may get benefited out of the situation too.
Facilities in the bus cannot be predicted. Present days with each person carrying a mobile, charging facility has become quite essential for all of us. If Bus has no such facility fine we will be prepared from the time we enter in the bus. Sometimes you will have charging slots but it will not working and more pathetically even they work it will not be switched on by Driver (as he will have a control at his end) only on group request if the driver is kind enough he will switch on for few hours.
Then the blankets, curtains and rugs that are in use gives us a scare of causing unwarranted diseases, totally Never washed, never cleaned environment. *
When we book the bus we will check at the ticket counter by what time it is expected to reach Ahmedabad accordingly we will book, but in most of the cases bus will never reach Ahmedabad in the expected time due to various reasons like we will be taken to Mumbai Darshan to pick-up passengers from various points and highway traffic is predictably causes traffic Jam in one or more places.
Bus staffs are generally rude with passenger and the decision to stop for food or run continuously depends on driver’s requirement. Most of the stops they put us are not hygienic food providers hence we are forced to do fasting.
Except in one or two place Toilet facilities are very poor throughout the highway hotels.
Thousands of Passengers using these services on regular basis a care and concern of respective Government departments in controlling these services and facilities will be really helpful to all.
