An inkjet printer is an answer to anyone's prayers who is computer savy. The inkjet printer has fabulous printing results and low on maintenance.The steps of the maintenance are very easy and quick. These printers serve the basic needs of a household.

First of all, use your printer in a dust free place to make sure that it dosent get clouded up with dust every week.
Clean your inkjet printer with the help of a cleaning fluid and a duster.
Do not get your ink cartridges refilled more than 2 times as excessive refilling leads to the leakage of the ink due to the small opening made in it's body/head by the vendor when injecting the liquid into it. After refilling, the cartridges also can damage the printing wheel of the printer leading to low quality prints.
Whenever you buy cartridges, buy only original ones.
If your printer is a All-In-One Printer then use all it's features like scanning, copying, fax etc regularly.

Periodically go to your printer toolbox menu and select the option-(Clean Your cartridges).Perform this task atleast twice a month which will ensure that your cartridges remain clean.
Make sure that all the printer wires are properly connected or it will reduce the printer's life.Always keep a check on the voltage as high voltage can make your printer disfunctional.Even leaving the printer on for many hours damages it's main internal IC.(Integrated Circuit).
Make Sure that you use only the paper recommended for the printer in use by the company.Use of rough papers, transparency sheet sometimes damages the head of the printer making them useless.

Use only the original software provided with your printer.Do not use pirated ones.Incase you loose your software cd, then ask for a new one from a computer vendor.
If you you haven't used a printer before, then read the manual books provided in the box with extreme care.
