Induction Cookers a Bane or a Boon ?

I have been using Induction Cookers for the past 3.5 yrs. My first buy was a Local Brand being sold outside a mall in Ghaziabad! It gave me a good service despite the fact that the details of manufacturer & service center were all false!

I purchased a second one as we had become so dependent on this gadget; It was fast to cook on, convinient as there was no extra heat being generated & no smoke etc. Moreover, being a Tamiliam, we have lots of SS vessels, which came in handy & the best part was we could shift back to gas if the power went out!

This time we went for Prestige(Brands are important & a branded model was available) Pic1.0 model. This was in 2009 Dec. This piece is still in use & is giving wonderful service.

Last month we decided to part with our First Non-Branded buy & got it exchanged for a Prestige Pic 4.0 model. This model has been consistently BLASTING to a STANDSTILL. My poor dealer has given me 2 replacements & today I ultimately surrendered it back & have decided to go in for some other BRAND of Induction cooker. Similar problems have been faced by almost ALL CUSTOMERS who purchased this model from the same store.

There is some major manufacturing problem with Pic 4.0 Model & PRESTIGE needs to look into this seriously & Ideally should recall this model from the market.
