Thought let me write my experience about the Hostel life and also my 4 years Degree(College) life on MS and here I am with this review.

Hostel Life:

Now, when ever this particular word comes to my mind, the only line that I utter next(with a HUGE SIGH!) ..... ''MAN... I am missing IT BADLY'' Those who stayed at home during there college days may not know how interesting and CHILLING this experience would be. So thought let me shed some light on it :-)

Till my 10 + 2, I was with my parents and when I had to pursue my Degree, I had to go to different place and I had to admit in to a Community hostel.  As you could think, I was very much home sick! It was as if a jail for me for the first few months. Every day after finishing my classes I used to call my Mother and talk to her(I am the last son, Mom's KID you see!!) and everyday say the same (old) line ''I do not want to go to the hostel, I dont like it!'' and Mom used to somehow calm me down ( now I could understand, how her plight was then!! Coz, everyday, she had to do that! -- THANKS MOM)

There were not many friends to talk to during the initial stages and there was always that fear that, ''if I go out of my room, any senior might catch me and start Ragging!!'' Well, Only I know how much I ''suffered'' due to home sickness and such fears during those HICK UP stages and thanks to my MOM for handling that situation EXCEPTIONALLY WELL.

Every day passed on like a year for first few months and then slowly but surely I started to accept the fact that, this is my destiny and I have to adjust to this. And from then on... it was just a GALA time for more than 3 and half years at that hostel. After 3-4 months of joining, we were having a BOWL out there!!(Once we get to know all the seniors and after ''FEW GRUELLING'' sessions of RAGGING from Seniors, we were all like friends). By that time I had lot of friends at my hostel and gradually my MOM also felt better at the other end as she did not get much or rather any call on the ''SAME OLD LINE'' !

And then came the holidays after completing the 1st Sem exams and we had about 45 days of Holidays. I went to my place and enjoyed to the fullest with all my PU college mates as every body had come for their respective holidays. That is the only holiday (Semester break you could call it) which I enjoyed at home. After that I did not stay at home during those breaks for more than 10-15 days and I used to get back to my HOSTEL(yes, the same hostel which I thought is bad and a jail!) and so were the other hostel mates and we used to BOOGY at the hostel during the rest of the holidays and of course waiting for the colleges to re open!

We used to enjoy like anything. I had a previllage  to get one of the BEST room mates and everybody used to envy about 3 of us(Roommates) and we were the most sought out people there in the hostel. Whatever happens in the hostel, the warden used to ask us first!( You guys remember the movie Kante ??? how those 6 guys used to get the call from police  whenever something happened in their city?). We were so popular or rather un popular you could say. The Warden of our Hostel, always used to say the following lines in the local language after asking us to come to his Room:

'' Man, you guys from Room no 28, I just cannot imagine, you people are just cannot be controlled, for god sake, do not do this'' and when we used to stand quitely with out uttering a word(He knew, we are uncontrollable) he used to add '' At least not in front of your Juniors, otherwise they would also start the same way.  Well all these things were happening in a very sportive way. As the warden was also very young, hardly 4-5 years elder to us so he knew how it is and what it is! So there was nothing much to fear about for us except when the SUPER INCHARGE used to visit the hostel (Even during such times, the warden used to inform us well before that guy would come so that everything ''SEEMS'' to be normal). The reason for this support from warden was because we were (The guyz from Room no 28) pretty much close to him. So you could imagine the extent of mischievous things that we might have done at hostel!!

Some of the interesting things that I (read it as WE, the ROOM NO 28 guys) did in our Hostel:

1.

There was a BIG FAT GUY doing Medical in our hostel. Really a sick guy..... We used to play cricket all the time and this guy used to study and it seems he used to get disturbed by this and he always used to complain about this. And our argument was ''Mate, why dont you go to college library and study''.

One day we were playing our GULLY Cricket and the ball went to this fellows ROOM and it seems it hit him( that sick guy always used to argue with such false reasons) and he told that he would not give the ball.. go and do what ever you want. Well, he was HUGE and it required COURAGE and more importantly that STRENGTH to tackle him directly. So we decided not to take him HEAD ON.

But, this guy had a strange inclination to a wash room and he always used to go to that room itself, because that room had tube light in it instead of bulbs and he used to take his medico books with him to read. So we knew it!!!

Next day....

The BIG BOYS( Of course room no 28 guyz!) got up early to make sure they catch up with him in that lovely, cozy wash room of his!. One of my roommate went to his room to check if he has got up, me went to the prayer hall to check if he is there, the other roommate went near to that cozy place of his and waited there just to keep a watch on who would enter in to that room and no body else get the ''stick'' other than sick medico guy. The guy was there in Prayer hall, we finished prayer, he went to his room and came back after 5 min, as usual with a book hidden in his trouser(But every one knew it!) He went in to his cozy place. The guy who was waiting next to it, locked it from outside and we put a lock to it and kept the key with us(Unfortunately that was the Lock of warden's drawer!). No body knew who locked the door. The key for that lock was safely back to its usual place at wardens desk. This guy was there for about 5-6 hours in that cozy washroom and almost about to cry. But who locked the door ???? And where the hell was key?? Every one was wondering . Fortunately for us that day warden went to Bus terminus to pick up his friend so he came to hostel late. When he came to know about this, he straight away went to that sight and for his astonishment, it was his lock !! He quitely went to his room and opened the door and this guy came out finally.  That was sunday and fortunately he did not miss the classes which he was so fond off.

And from next day on..... the medico guy used to go to College STUDY room to study.. well it's a different matter that he was a topper for the college and a GOLD MEDAL winner!
