With so many new diseases coming upon daily, there is an urgent need to devise better and more efficient ways to keep food safe for consumption and food safety has been emerging as a new concern now days.


even a healthy looking food item may be harbouring millions of small bacteria which at times can be very toxic for the body. To keep a check on this we can employ various procedures like:


1) using the food within the best before period. many a times we tend to use the products even after their best before date which in general is not a really healthy habit if seen from the perspective of food health . Items like bread, milk tend to undergo fermentation which leads to production of harmful substances which are not good for the body.


2) PROPER STORAGE- storage of food is really essential factor in determining how safe it is. Food such as dairy must be always kept at lower temp. whereas some food need to be stored away from moisture which leads to fungal growth in them.


3) try not use stale food, even after microwave, there can be traces of harmful microbes which might remain in them and can lead to health problems . try eating fresh food as much as possible.


4) with the growing pesticide usage its is very much important now days to wash the vegetables and fruits before consuming with warm water properly.


5) use of aluminium foil at the place of conventional ways like use of newspapers which tend to leave harmful ink onto thew food.


6) meat products should be bought from clean places and should be properly inspected for any signs of rotting or bad odour.


7) cooking place must be cleaned regularly


in the end personal hygiene is also must and one must follow healthy habits such as washing hands before eating, eating at a clean place.


by following these simple tips one can easily employ healthy habits into their lives .
