Your CV is one of the most important documents you will ever write, particularly in the new internet era of recruitment. The CV (resume, in American English) is meant to introduce you and your background to somebody who does not know you and barely has time to get to know you...A well-written CV shows first what is most important, but contains all relevant information. If you are looking for a job, then it is very important that you understand how to offer yourself in the best way to an employer.


This is done by writing a 'CV' (curriculum vitae)


Different countries may have different requirements and styles for CV resumes. So you must follow the correct practice for your culture and country. Print the CV on plain-white A4 paper, save some of the same type for the cover letter. but never! send a CV without a cover letter


To make it look neat use one of the Word pre-made formats,


Poor spelling,or bad grammar must be avoided. - Make your headings clear and accurate..


Your CV should include all of the following:


Personal details - full name, address and contact details are the only essential items required, although you may wish to include marital status, nationality.


Education - list all your qualifications, grades and where and when they were achieved.


Professional Qualifications - professional qualifications and memberships of professional bodies' etc. should be listed.


Experience- As a graduate, you will probably have limited work experience directly related to the role for which you are applying. In this case, think about the skills that you have acquired in part time jobs and through your studies, which are related to the position for which you are applying. Your experience should be portrayed in reverse chronological order with an overview of the responsibilities in your current role, if applicable.


Hobbies, interests - They will be particularly interested in activities where you have leadership or responsibility, or which involve you in relating to others in a team. A one-person interest, such as stamp-collecting, or any other like music...If you have been involved in any type of volunteer work, do give details.


Language known - speak write and read


When sending in a CV or job application form, you must include a covering letter
