Hi, this is Sumana Sengupta from Kolkata, I am writing this review based on some present scenario of some big/small IT corporation and non-IT people's misunderstanding about the total scene which is very common . Why this came into my mind for this read first this article:

then read the comments on that review where I also wrote a couple of thoughts then return to this article, then only you can understand the whole matter .
In this article I have discussed mainly one thing why working in a MNC company is'good' for your life and about its services .
In 1960-70's computer industry was all about programming . It was based on programmers own brillance and was purely monolithic . That time only pure -brains were needed for programme development .
In 1980's things started to become complexed as industry grew, people started sharing thoughts, home PC started to become popular . Until this point a software engineering was all about programming, but as many developers came prople understood to make it in a'standardised' form and thats the result today you see things like'SEI_CMM''six sigma' like that . and for that industry grew soooooo much that now coding has become a'small'( 30%) part of the industry .
Today we have posts like release manager, vertion controller, quality controller, tester( back-box, white box and many many more){ just naming some part of it}, now why you need all these? because the reason is simple . You want to provide better software .
For that all you need is a good analytical brain and nothing else . Thats why companies like Infosys takes those kind of peculiar test for entry.?.there is no programming stuff simply because today you dont need to be a excellent programmer
.When I was in my college I was a very good programmer in C( all those pipe/symaphore stuff)and I wasnt very happy when I got the job as a quality controller in SAP module . But things changed . I am not agree with this completely. OK go to a TCS guy and tell him to leave his job for a higher profitable freelance programming . No one will go . Why because of your ambiance . what that person wrote is right >>"at first its difficult but in couple of years if you stick to freelancing you will retire by 35." then what you will do for the next 35 years of your life? Big question . and as a freelance programmer you have to do coding alone, which is risky also you cannot work with cutting edge technology .what if as a freelancer programmer you had to work with a motorola-IDEN device programming? you simply cannot get an IDEN device / iden network sitting in India .
As a freelance programmer you can get a$1000 where as at infi you will get only$600 .ok thats find but down the line 9 years later when you will become a PM then? you can imagine a 400% growth in your salary, and thats not the only adv, u can goto onsite and meet different peoples/cultures also . This is not my word.ask Prof D.Mohanty and R.Kumar of IITKGP .they will say the same . But if you are very confident you can go for freelance programming today and later setup your own company.but thats a difficult and risky job.probability of failure is higher than success in this case. I will expand this article later today with some other facts / thoughts, so please dont rate it now . I am searching for some more facts about this .
