Timtara - Most Glamorous of all Fraudsters So Far. Review on Timtara

Well just wanted to educate and warn my fellow online shoppers of glitzy and glamorous fraud model Timtara.com operates on. Brilliant drool worthy discounts they offer though. No wonder anyone would fall prey.

I had ordered an item on Feb 10th, 2012 and even after almost 2 months of placing the order I have absolutely no clues if I would even receive the orders. Out of 100 times you dial in to their only contact number(which is mostly kept off the hook), you may manage reach the fraudsters once in as many trials, but only if it’s your lucky day. So make sure to bow down to the almighty in the morning if you plan to trace our order on that particular day. It will eat up at least a few hours of your day and another word of caution that your BP may shoot up a notch or two if you manage to reach their customer reps so keep the pills nearby:)

Every time you reach them they will play the same record and inform you that the ordered item has already been dispatched and will reach you by the end of the week. I envy their courier service as it seems that their so called "premier courier agencies" route the couriers for a world tour before they are meant to reach you. It’s been four consecutive weeks since when I have been repeatedly informed that mine(courier/product) would be reaching by the end of this week. Considering the number of days it has been dispatched I think it must have reached travelled to Japan, Hawaii, North America, European continent and must be somewhere around Dubai soon to arrive in India. A round tour basically:)

Now you must be thinking that it would be smarter to have it all in written. Keep writing to them. It really helps to enhance your writing skills especially when you keep thinking that a rather more harsh email would do the trick and when the recipients are on mute mode.

Well you must be thinking why I should bother writing. I should just cancel my order as their terms say the following:

"From timtara side there is no order cancellation. If unfortunately you have to cancel an order, please do so within the above shipment time. If you cancel your order before your product has shipped, we will refund the entire amount. Refunds will be made in the same form that the payment is received within the shortest possible time."

Now since the customer reps have received their rigorous military training to tell you they have dispatched the order every time you call after 20 Business days, you cant even ask for cancellation since the order has been shipped as per them and the terms and condition don’t allow the poor reps to cancel the order if it has been shipped.

I am sure even if I get hold of the CEO, grab him by the collar and dare him to cancel the order and somehow miraculously he agrees to refund, it would still take another decade for the refund to get processed. Though I doubt that a thought of such a noble intention would ever occur to the No. 1 Online portal.

To conclude I just had my first experience of being duped online by the so called "No. 1 Rated Online Shopping Portal by Dataquest" but I was lucky enough to get trapped only for an inexpensive item. Everyone isn’t and hope you don’t get trapped too.
