MY experience with TIMTARA


On one fine day 7/3/12 I placed an order for a lens, that I had kept dreaming about from many days, they offered a flat 4 f**in thousand discount...everyone in Bangalore charged at least 19k but timtara had it for 16k so I booked it online...called them up and they promised that it will be delivered on the Wednesday of the next week if I made the payment immediately, so I paid thru debit card on the same day....they had promised a delivery time of 8-10 business days but I called them on wed asking for it..they said it will be delivered shortly...i kept seeing my order status everyday it said "AWAITING SHIPMENT" then accidentally I stumbled upon many reviews which claimed timtara was a fraud company, I did a little more research on it and experienced the biggest shock of my life, I thot that i'd lost my money, looking at people's reviews anyone would think that timtara was a fraud site and then I started calling up customer care incessantly but in vain, they wouldn't pickup...


I called Mr. Imtyaz with whom i'd spoken while placing the order...his words weren't convincing...so I started spamming the mailbox of everyone I knew at timtara....i tried all tricks they suggested on forums to get in touch with them....and on Thursday Mr.Raaja singh called me sayin that the order is in process and i'd recieve it within the time promised (tuesday) but I was restless...i wouldn't believe him..who would ? after reading that timtar was a scam site ....so I told him that its not happening and to immediately ship the product and give me the awb number...he convinced me that by Monday it will be in my hands and also gave his personal phone number and told me that I could call him anytime.....


My restlessness still wasn't completely passified....I contacted akosha ...i wrote to risk of cc avenues on finding that on Monday (19th) the order status was the same....I kept calling them spamming their mail box from mine and many newly created email ids....i even foulmouthed Mr. Raaja sing with all the dirty abuses I knew....and all he was saying was it will be shipped soon....mind you ladies n gentlemen, the promised period was 8-10 BUSINESS DAYS and not 8-10 days....which excludes Saturday Sunday and all holidays in between...by that , timtara was still within their period of promise...and they still had few more days ...


In the meantime, I had already done enough research on how I would deal with it thinking that I would loose my full month's salary ....i had contacted a lawyer, was about to file a case with the consumer forum, written a full detailed police complaint, and gathered opinion about ppl like me....


Meanwhile , whenever I found time I used to callup Mr.Raaja and keep pestering him about my order


Then of wednesday...i spoke to ccavenues and asked for a refund.....when they wrote to timtara, I got a call from Mr.Raaja saying that their inadequacy with the supplier was fixed and my product was arranged and it would be shipped the subsequent day..i wouldn't believe him, he said he could process my refund if I really wanted but it would do good to both parties if I just waited for one day and he promised that i'd get my awb number by friday and product by monday...no I still wouldn't believe him...i asked him to mail me the same with clause that he would be liable to criminal procecution if what he promised failed, I asked to speak to the md of the company....i aksed that the mail be cced to ccavenues and akosha...


Mr.Raaja promised me that I would get a 16gb sd card if I kindly held on for two more days....having thot that I 'd waited for so long ..and two more days wasn't a big deal....


But to my surprise, the order status was changed on thursday..thru my secret sourced I found out that my order was shipped on thursday evening itself....and it was no tom dic harry...it was JJ MEHTA, a very trusted supplier from whom I was getting the lens.....even tho my order was promised on monday, it arrived to me on saturday itself in a WONDERFULLY sealed container.with careful packaging and everything ended in a happy note.even tho there was a delay in shippment , it was just a few days....Mr.Raaja singh was kind enough to speed up my order and give his personal phone number and having beared all my torture and also kind enought to give a 16gb sd card as a goodwill gesture...i really appreciate that and repent for the foulmouthing I did to him....


THANK U MR.RAAJA THANK YOU TIMTARA...i'm very happy today and the product is awesome, and this is the best deal I could get...:)
